This might be my favorite bashing of Gary. Howard has so much fun here and you can hear him genuinely cracking up. Especially when he talks about Phil Spector and the glove over the toenail. Lmao. So funny.
I love this! lol. I know exactly what Howard's talking about. It's just something about the way Gary sounds so proud of himself with his music picks that's annoying.

(People bust on Stern continuously for his Hampton's sellout but it was the "Greenwich Ape" that fled the Bronx before the ink was dry on his first big-money paycheck.)
I have to say. I have had some bad things happen lately and I have listened to this and have laughed out loud every time. It has helped cheer me up each time
i think its underestimated how funny Howard is is his own right, surrounded as he is by so many greats over the years and also how content he is to take a back seat to them so much of the time.
One of my favorite things in life: Howard picking on Gary’s total average-ness! His musical tastes are so bland, and the poor guy is just uninteresting - and comedy gold!
@Young Beige He's definitely a bit of an egomaniac. He thinks he's a lot more talented and smarter than he is because Howard kept him around. He's not a bad producer by any means, but he carries himself like he's one of the greats.

Here's a song that Bruce did. I remember I was cleaning my teeth at the car wash when I heard it. Bruce had on brown socks. It brought back memories of when my mom took me to get brown socks. As it turns out, my brown socks are the same as Bruce's brown socks. That brings me to wonder if Bruce and I are related. That's why I love this song.

God I miss these days. This is when the Howard Stern show was awesome. Problem now is he's a typical boring talk show host. Everything that got him to the top and all the fans that supported him are now secondary. it's a shame because I grew up listening to him everyday now I just can't stand him.
I was listening to a similarly overproduced documentary podcast episode the other day, with phone ringing sound effects and background sounds of children laughing, and I IMMEDIATELY thought of Gary & Scott.
Man gary can talk. He does annoy me when he talks about music like he is an authority. I heard his book had lists of music. I heard he wanted years b4 to do s book of music lists Stephen he got his book deal he crow barred in his lists of music. Top desert island songs, best record world songs , best juke songs. Like does anyone care about Gary's lists. I did crack up when gary said " sounds like someone is jealous of Bruce " lol. I love the clip of hank kicking his ass on music knowledge.
