I am a part of the Google Ecosystem (own the Pixel 8 Pro, watch and tablet) and loving it. I do expect Google in 2024 to FINALLY offer a bigger watch face. I also own the TicWatch Pro 5 and wear that more often than the Pixel watch due to the much larger watch face.
I just switched last month to the Pixel 8 Pro after being with Apple for 13 years. Also got the Pixel watch with the preorder and I have been extremely satisfied! I should've done this A LONG Time ago! How's the tablet?
Google really needs to get TSMC to manufacture the next Tensor chip instead of Samsung ! That's what holdding it back It would fix battery life, overheating issues and performance all at once
Thank you for this video. I could never understand why Apple fans claim their ecosystem to be the better ecosystem, when it's so limited. Outside of Apple products, there ecosystem DOESN'T WORK! Whereas with Google's ecosystem, You can use a Windows device, a OnePlus phone with a Samsung tablet and an Asus Chromebook and have them all communicate easily. On Windows, Microsoft's Link to Windows app will not only allow me to move photos between devices and send and receive text messages, but also make and receive phone calls on my Windows PC. Chromebooks allow a better Google Messages connection. Any Android tablet and phone can easily communicate with each other and Android watches, earbuds, headphones, TVs, speakers all just work seamlessly with Google products. So, how, exactly is Apple's ecosystem supposed to be "better" than Google's? There is literally nothing you can do on Apple's ecosystem that you can't do on Google, yet Google offers so much more.
I think its because Google or Microsoft are late comers in the Eco system game. Earlier they wanted to rival against each other. Remember Windows Phone? So Apple was in this game years ago so were their customers. Now they're all heavily invested in the Ecosystem as Apple wouldn't let you leave easily so they just keep vouching for Apple no matter what.
@@KazrBrekker Exactly the opposite of what I'm saying. Google's ecosystem has caught up to Apple's. There is absolutely nothing that you can do on Apple devices that are not in some way possible on Google devices. From file transfers between devices to messages on multiple systems to optimization of OS. Pixel had caught up to Apple.
@@NOLATechy Yes, Google has caught up but imagine for Apple users who have bought Apple devices, have data on iCloud, Apple apps and third party apps that store data on iCloud (there are plenty), and more importantly many paid apps and games. So, you can't just convince an Apple user to throw it all away and start from scratch by purchasing a whole new suite of devices, learn to use them, purchase their apps again on Play Store, etc. etc. And as for apps, we all know App Store does have more and wide selection of apps. Maybe because on average Apple users are rich or successful in their carrier or both so developers know they can make more money but on average Android users are not so rich and many just bypass Play Store to download paid apps for free from elsewhere. Now, take a realistic angle and say which platform will be better suited. I'm not vouching for Apple as I'm no Apple user either, but they must be doing something right to have such a large cult of rich people only using their products and they're not all stupid. It's true many buy for aesthetic value or social status only but not all of them. As for me, I would never buy an Apple product unless they stop overpricing them (from storage or RAM to accessories) and also make them more repairable and upgradable thus more ecofriendly.
@@NOLATechy using a Windows PC it still annoys me you have to sign in to Google Drive etc on chrome to access stuff. Microsoft doesn't allow Google apps. On Apple it syncs flawlessly on the Apple PC.
@ln5747 Once you sign into your Google Account on Chrome you can access everything Google on the Web. So I don't know what you are talking about. If you install Google Drive onto your Windows PC, it syncs automatically everyone you log into your computer.
I used to be part of the apple eco system for many years. Changed in 2022 to an Android phone and slowly continued down the line. Now i have a custom pc, pixel 8 pro, oneplus watch 2, dali io 12 headphones, custom keyboard and alienware screens. Only my ipad pro for drawing remained. :D i am happy like this
Very well made points, Emad (and I had not realised that you in the UAE were so hamstrung with availability of Google products, which seems crazy!). I'm a big Google fan and watching your video on an old Chromebook. However, my daughter and son-in-law are Iphone and Mac users, and I have to admit that the photos and videos they share with me are superb, even though their devices aren't new. But I'll stick with Google for the reasons you articulate, and upgrade to the Pixel 8 pro when I can afford it! Thanks again from the UK for what you do.
As a tech nerd nd uses multiple devices i can say ur one of the few channels explains things more accurately leaving no doubt or baised opinion in average customers, most of the channels praise apple and its features in more appealing way..than android development and its features.. Good work mate👍
Most flagships are mostly competitive some features are better on certain phones , am more interested now in customer service , after sales support, physical store and in that regard Apple leads with Samsung , google in my opinion is maybe better in America but rest of the world it’s lacking
They need to make their smart function worldwide rather than US only. I know it's their focus market but the fact that basic function like 5G or Voltle is locked behind software make me choose Samsung eventhough I like how smart their devices are. Also, this is already their 8th gen phone, that shouldnt be a thing.
I have been an Android user simply because I know that I am not locked within a particular OEM. I can go from google to samsung to one plus etc etc. Only thing that I wish google and other androind OEMs have is good customer support when devices develop issues.
i have been using google devices for a long time now preferably the pixel line just because there's alot of flexibility and very much eco friendly. alot of people run to apple and think its way better than any other but i don't think they understand what eco friendly means.
In my personal preference I go with Microsoft's Ecosystem. No strings attached you won't get locked in like you can get in Apple or Google as they use proprietary software and fie formats and keeps features exclusive to their choice of platform or device. Google Photos or G Suite for example and Apple we all are aware of
@@Fleecing1 True but your files are not saved in proprietory format. You don't need to use MS office to view MS office files. You don't need Windows Photos app to view OneDrive photos. In both cases you've to use Google or Apple's software to access your content. And Google's worse since there's no desktop app even. All web apps
tbf, it's not even google ecosystem but more like android ecosystem. I recently got the pixel buds and the the pixel watch which i connect to my pixel 6. The watch does get a few things more but in general, my former garmin watch was"as good" just less "smooth". I tried with a recent galaxy watch and its basically the same as if it was used on a samsung phone. Again, using a product from the manufacturer just gives some small features. So i have my lenovo laptop communicating with my pixel 6, my sennheiser headset wireless connecting to both and swapping with one click, same things for my buds series A etc... Its great to have options.
Hi Emad, kindly do a video of how an android user would setup an iphone to have android like experience on iphone. Great Content as usual much appreciated🔥
I've been a Samsung user for over 10 years, and I was an early apple user. I switched to Google about a year ago and I love it. As long as they continue to improve, it's Google for me.
That is exactly why I chose Google ecosystem. You're not limited to a device. If I wanna use an iPhone, I can. But then is I wanna switch to an Android, I also can, without any problem.
I am full blown into the Google Ecosystem. Pixel, Buds Pro, Watch, Home/Hub, Chromecast. The assistant over time has just gotten worse and the smart home devices are just TRASH now.
Thank you Emad. I think this is a very informative video. As a huge Google fan, I have much faith in Google and believe they will someday equal Apple. I currently am enjoying my Pixel 6 Pro and looking forward to 2025 and Google's Custom Chip. Hoping the world's situation allow for it. "I have much faith in Google and believe they will someday equal Apple."? Sorry, but that sounds contradictory to me. Personally, I trust Google to never become like Apple.
@@BasMeijer Ooh Ok 👌🏻. 'Supercede' Apple . How's that teach ? May I be excused now 😟. So glad you were able to get my drift at all 😉. Incidentally, in my very humble opinion, Liza Minnilli has an excellent version of the McCartney/Lennon song - "For No One". JaneLee - in Suburban Philadelphia 12/1/23 7:32 PM
@@janeleekeller Seems you didn't understand what I mean. Google is superior to Apple in allmost all areas that are important to me (and at a cheaper price). And yes, that includes how it integrates to other devices. And I have faith in Google that they will not go in Apple's direction. We may hope that Apple goes in Google's direction, but I have little faith in that (except when they are forced by e.g. the EU).
@@BasMeijer I believe I've got it now. And, I concur with all. From what I've heard ,🍏 has at long last acquiesced to adopting RCS. For whatever reason, it's a start. Thank you for your patience 😊, JaneLee 🕊️ 12/2/23 9:19 PM
The one thing that Apple can't be beat on is tablets, and their Apple TV box. At 129, it's ridiculously cheap for what it can do. Matching refresh rates, dual wireless headphones and superb performance can't be beat. No other Android tablet comes close to an iPad. Happy to admit this as a Pixel user. Google's smart PHONE is awesome, as is Google Assistant. One of the worst things about Apple, is Siri.
Yes you ain't wrong Apple has watch before Google but not before Android which is Google lol 2014 vs 2015 LG was the first smart watch for Android or going bach the calculator watch was the first smart watch Receipt: At Google I/O on 25 June 2014, the Android Wear platform was introduced and the LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live were released. The Wear-based Moto 360 was announced by Motorola in 2014.
that's really true 1:28 that's why hate apple ecosystem Its good don't get me wrong but the way apple forces user to use there expensive product and service even its not that good is too bad
Apple was not pushed by the EU to implement RCS. Google was begging the EU to force Apple, but without success. Then, as a former android-user (mostly Google-devices) and Google-ecosystem for over more than 10 years, I must say I was pretty happy with it. But it’s nowhere near to the Apple-ecosystem. Google has some great apps, and software-features, but Apple is far more better with its hardware, and therefore they work much more seamlessly together, much faster, more reliable, and apps (3th-party) just are better on iOS.
Samsung Ecosystem is so much better I regretted buying a Pixel even though I liked the phone a lot, Google doesn't have a polished or complete ecosystem, I switched to Samsung and the ecosystem features and convenience was miles better, Google has been lacking hard for ages with their Pixel line and that's a fact
Idk man, i have everything from samsung. Newest phone, tablet, watch and galaxy buds. They work, but not as smooth like apple. But I'll still use samsung
I don't lock myself into any one ecosystem. I shoot photos and videos on pixel 8 pro, edit my videos on iPad pro and use a Sony xm4 headset that seamlessly connects to both the devices at the same time.
Thanks to Google Services, i can run my perfect ecosystem: Bose 🎧 + iPhone + Nothing Phone + Windows 💻. Ecosystem can be good but the way Apple makes things is restrictive. Great in term of business but not good because most users become less open-minded and they are stuck with a stupid brand loyalty
Next people going to say Apple was the first ear bud which is Bluetooth lol sony Bluetooth lol apple get Bluetooth in 2007 when it was from 2001 on other phone lol google is android or u can say android is google so come again with correct information
Wow talking about pulling wool over people eyes does your country have T-Mobile or any phone network Google never really have a store the product is always at these phone companies sony like Samsung Motorola the G1 Nexus BlackBerry and you can claim warranty service from these phone companies or call them wow
The best thing about Google's ecosystem over apple is the flexibility and being open source you can take any just any Android device and it will work as fine. You don't wanna buy Google TV stick just buy an Android TV you don't wanna buy a pixel smartphone no worries just buy any Android will work as fine. Imagine it with apple you can cry much you want but you can just buy apple devices. It feels like jail And I don't want it Google is better
I would say that 85% of all the P8P complaints come from India, and Indians are very active on Reddit/Twitter and RU-vid, it kinda gives out the wrong impressions because here in the state this phone works flawlessly.
The Pixel watch sound is terrible! The quality is so bad I thought mine was broken until the one from my partner arrived and it was just as bad 😂 Sounds like a cheap $69 smart watch
