@@AppleReviews My point is that Apple brings in some revolutionary tech we never even think of. And then Google and other Android smartphone companies (looking at Xiaomi) brings in the same tech in more easy and simple methods that still gives the exact same output as Apple's products for lesser prices. Apple is always digging it's own grave whenever they bring in something new. They should atleast try to make it future proof for atleast a year, but NO.

@@that_leaflet I'm not talking about just these sensors. I'm talking about their whole ecosystem. Anything they make will be available for cheap prices from other companies. It's like Apple can't manufacture products with lower prices. Whenever they build something their primary aim is to make it cost $1000+ rather than making it easily affordable for the people like every other tech company does. That's all I'm saying.

@@rogueriot6542 I think that's mostly because their target consumer base is on the higher end, I think Mrwhosetheboss explained it in a video. Also, they do make phones and tablets that are less than 800, but there are stuff they sell that's useful but overpriced, like a stand for the Pro Display XDR that costs 1000.

My dad has the Apple watch series 4 and my S10+'s heart rate sensor and both the readings were always identical as is expected from a dedicated hardware sensor but Google surely knows software as even with a mediocre camera hardware just by pure software they can match any super high end fancy hardware. Great job Google they surely are the software wizards. They always suck pretty badly interms of hardware but their excellent software more than makes up for their lack of hardware.

Apple: We have this cluster of sensors which can measure your heart rate accurately. Google Pixel: Camera go brrrrr, beep beep 97, blood type AB+, HIV negative, you are half Asian,30% scandanavian, 20% African.

For those measuring their heart rate just occasionally, this is great. but if you're doing some sport activity - running, cycling etc - then an activity tracker with constant heart rate measurement is way better. of course, if you don't want a watch/activity tracker and want to measure your heart rate, this is a great feature.

I was wondering how accurate will it be compared to another smart watches, and then how accurate are all of them compared to a dedicated device. I was not expecting them to be this accurate, espacially the Google software implementation..I remember the old days when Samsung was selling their Note phones with a dedicated sensor on the back and this was a selling point.

Installed on Pixel 3, not working UPDATE: I deleted data from the application and there was no change, but a couple of minutes later I open the app again and the new options were displayed. Thanks for the APK!

I think these are the simplest of usecases, the more complex scenarios like a 10 minutes sprint or a 2 hour workout or a million other combinations would be a more accurate representation of how Google fit with this camera detection measurement compare to a hardware based Apple watch measurement through Google fit.

It is really crazy that Google managed to achieve this with just cameras. WOW. Side note: I am a nurse and I think as a resting heart rate yours is marginally high, recommended getting a check up. As well, if all the result are accurate... Respiratory rate of 22 is slightly above normal range of 12-20bpm.

@@IDTR 80 would have been fine, idk if you seen my editted update. Your respiratory rate if accurate is slightly above normal, but if you don't feel like you are exerting then it's likely nothing. 22 is just slightly above normal 12-20bpm.

@@mackmccord3743 I use both iphone 12 pro as my primary phone MI 10t as my secondary iOS is a lot fluid and manage multitasking like butter Android well it gets the job done but messed up multitasking and apps ask odd permissions like why a clock widget needs contact permission or else it force close. I pay Apple because of there added security I pay Android because it can do almost everything IOs can do but very less secure and added customisation after rooting .

@@debsattam1 yeah Eye only use Pixel device so Eye don't have these issues you speak of. But iphone are horrible at multitasking. There is no way Eye could be playing RU-vid on chromecast at my business while listening to music on my phone with headphones or on nest homes or nest home minis, which Eye do quite often. And iphone will never do that. The software is too simple and locked down by iOS. Yes iphones are cool and simple. Really good for little children and seniors... Also haven't needed to root a phone for the last 6 or so years. My Pixel 5, 4a and 3a do everything Eye need and if they can't there's an app to make it do whatever is needed

@@mackmccord3743 I don't think Iphone is horrible I have invested in an Apple ecosystem and I bet ya android don't have anything close to it but I don't hate android it's a cheaper Os made with an open source linux kernel so you are paying for the hardware not the Os. I generally install Ubuntu Mobile in all of my android devices as I know how to operate bash shell or else I see countless hacking attacks happening in my android server back-end . IOs, the software itself is really unique made with Unix kernel with a heavy C coding making it very secure compared to open sourced kernel I can find new bugs every day in android and if you can find bugs in IOs you get paid .
