Nah, pretty sure that's not where it came from. See, a liquid is a substance with a defined volume, but not a defined shape. Cats are really good at squeezing themselves into different containers, so there's a joke that cats are liquid. The game must've come from that.
STORY TIME: My mother is deathly allergic to bees, so when I was 7 she taught me how to use her Epipen in case of an emergency. But she didn't use a real Epipen. She used the fake demonstration one that looked and clicked just like it was real, but didn't have a needle or medicine. So, I decided to plays some evil pranks. I would run around my house pretending to fake stab my family with an Epipen. They would freak out and scream, and I would run away laughing.... lol this is what happens when your mother lets you watch Saw and Childs play when you're 5.
