Google still has the same instructions regarding third-party apps, as if the change hasn't happened. They should have prepared the new instructions before they even made the change. For a data- or info-centered company, they sure make major gaps.

I logged into the DVR and updated the Gmail password to the new but the test email option is failing and I'm not sure where else to go as for this video don't seem to work anymore. @@tanushsathiyaseelan9428 Yes I did that. So in the php page with the phpMailer code, I just replace the old pw to the new one generated by google (the app pw). And when i call the php page within a browser and send email to someone, it work.

you can use this code in any application where is asks to connect from gmail and then asks gmail password , so instead of gmails password you will use this code now
