@@moment this is true. Too bad you didn't present both options in the video. I know these are basically sales videos, (very good ones at that) but sometimes the bias towards your products really shows.
The reason for the long 2-4 minute exposures is the tripod. When the phone is held absolutely still it turns on astrophotography mode which uses a longer exposure.
Moment dont get the credit they deserve for these camera test. From the music to every setting they put in that work great job. We missed the girl who you took that crazy behind the glass shot last time at the coffee shot. I think that tge best photo i have ever seen.
@@Gooddogeatssushi it's nice, love the camera but finding the battery life a bit disappointing, and charging could be faster. Overall glad I purchased and looking forward to getting some nice photos once the rain stops! 90H make this phone feels very smooth, fast, reliable so far. 👍🏻😉
That is true if you have a DSLR, but for someone who doesn't have one but already has a cell phone(most do), I would say spending a little bit of money for moment lenses or other accessories is a great idea.

they actually being toxic because they are apple fanboy...they cannot accept that pixel 4xl is better than any apple product for this time being....not yet...i am also not yet selling my pixel 4xl eventough now i am also using iphone 12😄....for daily drivers and photo i am likely using p4xl..for videography i am using ip12....both is good....but p4xl giving more satisfaction when taking photos...
The pixel actually will not take 2 min shot when you hold in hand. The phone recognises no motion (on tripod) and chooses to take longer exposure pictures. Maybe a hands on comparison will be more accurate and real life.
Yeah, Night Sight + low light + NO motion -> astro mode. It does note on the screen when this happens, but you might miss it if using a BT shutter. (Also...it doesn't start taking pictures when you touch the shutter; it waits until the movement induced by pressing the shutter button stops, *then* starts collecting light.)
All you need is a good TRIPOD with a MOBILE MOUNT, you can achieve similar results on any mobile with a decent Camera... (anyways Google cam app api is available to most of the Android mobiles)
Really wish you guys would implement a low light mode on your app. I tend to just boost the ISO to 2000 and SS to 1/1. I’ve gotten some awesome pictures of the stars before. There’s another app I used call ProCamera and it has a low light mode which takes variable timed low light pictures but is kinda janky sometimes.
Aditya Shergill these guys are photographers first and foremost. Trying to take the best pictures, obviously you can do everything they do without the tripod.
Packing for light travel every bit of weight and space you can skip on is essential. One of those squid-tripods doesn’t add much bulk and being able to take these pictures with a phone and a little tripod instead of carrying a bigger tripod with your DSLR is still a big deal, kinda. Maybe not the most frequently used feature, but a nice one nonetheless.

Wow. It looks amazing. There was one or two shots where I preferred the iPhones colour, but the pixel seemed to be getting sharper results with more image data. But that could all be software? The iPhones sensor seems pretty good, here’s hoping continues these rapid camera focused updates and improves night mode via update.

Yeah, I think there are too many people who are just looking at specs and jumping on the hate train with out even trying the phone out. I also bet a lot of them don't have have an iPhone 11 pro either, seeing as thats what people keep on comparing the pixel to. But people have to remember that most already prefer either Android or iOS, so no matter what, most people are not going to switch between the two.
As a pixel 3 XL owner, and huge supporter of pixels in general, I think the hate is well deserved. Not because of the specs, I think the pixel 4 is a fantastic phone, best in the market. The fact, however, that Google took away unlimited high quality photo storage while maintaining the 64GB and 128 GB storage kills me. I love my pixel because it takes great pictures AND because I don't have to worry about storage. Plus, the 6 month free RU-vid music subscription never expired 😜
I'm going to upgrade to a Pixel 4 from a Pixel 2 glad to see some real world examples of how nightsight worked. Will Moment be offering the Filmmaker case for the Pixel 4 would really love the slim line design?

If you have a pixel and want more control over the stock camera look for a gcam apk on xda. I used to use one with a full manual mode and options for the night sight like he was suggesting.
To reduce the exposure time you have to hold the phone by hand. If it's on a tripod it would automatically want to take the best pic possible so it will take longer.
