Hey everyone! I'm so excited to share my camera review of the Google Pixel 6 Pro. We test out all the photo and video features from this phone during a portrait photoshoot, landscapes with night sight and astrophotography! I have heaps of unedited photos to share with you all. @tweed penguin, if you are paid for your work you are a pro; why do people find that such a difficult concept. Nothing about the term pro refers to quality but if you are being paid then people must value the work. What I’ve seen on her RU-vid channel is extremely good. As someone else said, let’s see your work. It’s very easy to criticise from behind your computer keyboard so put your money where your mouth is.

My English is not the best but I just wanted to say that I bought my Pixel 5 because of your video and I'm really happy. Pictures are amazing, battery is amazing for me ( I'm not gamer ). And for example in the last trip I was the person who took the pictures even when my friends have iphone 12 or 11 they loved more pixel's photos !

I really love the how the pixel renders skin tones but it was making the models shirt too blue by bringing the highlights so low. Other wise fantastic imagine quaintly. The 4x zoom is would be so nice with a f2.8 lovely! Awesome camera review!

Yeah skin tones are great with the camera and thank you! For some context, the location we were shooting in was pretty blue in general due to it being quite shady and a super green park. The makeup artist I was working with had her iPhone to take behind the scene photos and in those pictures both mine and the model's white shirts were also turning out blue lol. I shared one of those behind the scene pics to my Instagram story today if you wanted to see.

1:35 It seems that Google doesn't reset the sliders when you focus, that's very nice! On my Pixel 3a, the brightness slider is reset whenever I focus, that's very annoying.

Yep it does not reset unless you close the camera app or press the reset button yourself :)

Is there no way to lock it? In my samsung a double click locks the brightness, not very stable but useful

Nice to see the camera perform so well. I've seen a lot of tech reviewers saying it's not that great and I think it's just in terms of consistency that the iPhone is probably better but for the amount of money you pay for the phone I think it's a pretty sweet deal.

Hello So, between Apple and Pixel, which one do you find most relevant for the photo? I have the impression that the Pixel is more responsive and less complex to use

My opinion is still the same as last year, Pixel excels with photo quality but iPhone is great for video. In terms of complexity, I think that's a personal opinion that's hard to answer!

looking at comparison videos I'd say the iPhone smashes the Pixel in video. In photo they both shine in their areas, iPhone with artificial Bokeh and low light, pixel with HDR and colors. Take a look at SuperSafs and MaxTechs videos

Love this review! The skin tones on you and the model came out real well. You can definitely tell the difference when the camera man is filming and you have the pixel to the corner right. I did find the background, at times, fighting with you and the model when it came to contrast making you both blend in. Otherwise loved it!

The Pixel 6 Pro not notifying you that it digitally zoomed to 4X instead of switching to the telephoto lens is worrisome. How did you discover this after the fact? Could you tell the image was much smaller in size than standard 1X image? Was the cause of this really due to the phone being overworked? Great review btw.

Probably not because everything indicates that Google ignores the 50 megapixel and 48 megapixel modes of the sensors. This means that even Google's algorithms only process 12 megapixels of data per frame.

@@mvz Yes, it would be nice to have an option in Lightroom , so one can choose between 12 megapixel and 50 megapixel. What Google is doing is actually not correct: They don't offer a high resolution mode and the official specs even don't mention that the tele camera has a Quad Bayer sensor, even though it likely has one.

My guess is all the extra features will come in a software update. They're definitely going to improve this phone over time. I think camera, video, and performance will see a significant jump as google begins to better optimize their new hardware with new software. I believe we're getting a 70% complete version of pixel software rn. I'm sure the 50mp feature and even macromode will eventually come over an update but then again, all that cool stuff isn't here now so don't have any expectations that it will come

the biggest problem is they have all this expensive equipment yet they dont understand that a 4x len will take better photos of people as the default len on smart phones is normally around 23-25mm which just makes a distorted photo and non flattering photo of peoples faces 4x will give you something around 80-120mm

I concur, refreshing to see a review from a pro. Thanks for the free download of the RAW image as well. After seeing it and playing with it in Snapseed, one realizes what a great job the computational software of the phone does. Time to upgrade from my LG V30! P.S. Sydney is my favorite city in the world...hope I can return someday!

I've been watching your photography videos for years and was thrilled to see you reviewing the phone that I've been researching as a potential replacement for my aging S9+. I really hoped I could get a phone with capable cameras for the times I'm out and about without my gear and this looked like it could be the one BUT, I've been seeing a lot of really bad photos from other reviewers. It's good to know that the lenses are good when in the right hands.
