Nice to see older devices reviewed without snobbish prejudice . There is a market out there for older devices .. I’ve been a “slave” to carrier deals to obtain the latest device but NO More … I am buying a two year old phone , brand new but I am so looking forward not to be tied down for two years
Been using it for almost 2 years in India with a perfect camera, nice display and good updates, clean performance only downside is slow charging and below par battery backup ❤ hope google shifts their chipset plans away from samsung and Exynos core to avoid throttle and heating issue and that eventually resolves the battery issue also
i bought a used one in november last year. good phone. screen is absolutely fine. its a bit heavy and the camera is good but not as good as my mum's vivo v25. when i take the same pics, the 2022 v v25 consistently takes better pictures. i might sell this and get the pixel 7 though. the 7 is apparently way better in picture quality. got my dad a vivo v30 last week and i was setting up. i must say that the pixel camera app sucks in comparison for usability like changing white balance and brightness
my pixel 6a has 99percent battery health. and I bought it one and a half years ago. it has started showing battery health in the settings after the Android 15 beta. My overall experience with the phone is very very nice. I couldn't believe that I got this pixel 6a when it was all brand new in a sale for 20000 rupees which is like 230 dollars with a totally crap phone exchange.
i have the 6a and its a stunning phone , its basically a flagship level , fast very smooth ,the cams are good but not that great at low light, and i do have heating, spec when using podcasts or cam or in$tagram .. spec when its hot weather gets up to 40c by aida64 .. so i there is heating and i dont agree its a light phone .. battery is 6h sot after 1 year that i have it
I DO recommend getting the 6a if you need a phone in a pinch. It is the fastest phone with the nicest camera that you are going to be able to get in its price range, AND it is still going to receive 2 1/2 plus years of security support as of today. That's more support than you will get for any new, budget (sub $200) phone.
phones build quality is bad. the display broke after a month from a casual drop from a table. trash. also it's not light there are much lighter phone for the price. it looks like a plastic soap box.
