New video on Pixel 7 Pro & 7 vs iPhone 14 Pro / 14! Its a fun one! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4bfQSsY6H5U.html UPDATE: There was a UI restriction on the 7 Pro at the time of recording hence for REFERENCE some Android 13 UI shots were taken on 6 Pro coz its the same OS. Its fixed on the new video so please watch that! (Both 7 & 7 Pro vs 14 series). Some people are misleading this again so beware of any drama and fact check always! Further more its an early comparison based NOT a review which will come next week! Hope you guys enjoyed the video! Love y'all 💗
@@tanmayfadnis5440 Me too. I have no need for anything "better" right now. Mine has 8/128GB and a 256GB SD card. Not a game player on a phone, so I am happy.
Nice to see a rather extensive comparison between these two phones. The biggest issue with this video is that you keep changing which side each phone is on in each shot - if both had rounded corners I would have absolutely no idea which phone was which.
S22U user here. Right off, appreciate the design of the Pixel. Almost every phone has the generic camera designs including S22U, the Pixel definitely looks the part 🙌
Not when compared to samsungs 8 month old s22ultra having 1750nits. It's a 550nit difference which is too much. And to follow that up samsung also just gave the the 14promax 2000nits, Google isn't even trying in brightness at this point sticking with the 13promax low level brightness
@@ohyea2k349 the s21ultra has 1200 nits but it’s much dimmer than even my 13 mini Only on auto brightness it gets bright but I hate to constantly adjust it Apples 2,000 nits is a gimmick to be honest because literally every phone that gets past 1,000 nits outdoors overheats if you use it in the sun🤷♂️
@Galaxy rock Studio if the s21ultra seems dimmer try turning off auto brightness and keeping it that way that's what I do on my s22ultra I just leave mine on extra brightness and it stays that way for me. And I said s22ultra not s21ultra
@@ohyea2k349 the brightness measurement isn't as straightforward as people make it out to be. For example, a 2000 nits screen is nowhere near twice as bright as a 1000 nits screen. Not at all. Therefore, brightness isn't the biggest thing you should be focusing on, all these phones have comparable brightness.
@@ohyea2k349 I know you said s21ultra but even 1,200nits is bright if these companies have us control like apple does I also keep auto brightness off 24/7 it’s just how it is on Samsung phones Samsung limits the brightness much lower than 1200nits if it’s on manual
This is a very great competition considering the fact that the pixel 7 pro offers smooth usage at an even lower price. I'd love to see how the s23 ultra would bring changes to the market
While I love my note 10 plus, I did have a pixel 2xl. The ease of use of it and the smoothness if it just made it a great daily driver. If it had more than 128 GBs and support, I'd still use it to be honest. What made me upgrade was the storage and losing security updates.
I totally agree with you. I've been rocking my Pixel 2 XL since Black Friday 2017. It's been the BEST phone I've ever used. However, I'm going to be upgrading to the Pixel 7 later this month. So excited!
Which is understandable, given the rather small numbers of sold phones. You need customer service centers in every country you're selling in so it's probably not worth it in smaller cuntries like Austria or Switzerland for example.
I've never had a Google phone but this one looks great. I'm due an upgrade on my S21 ultra soon and the price of the pixel 7 pro makes it a stand out option!
@@Jry088 No true, and it's still a brilliant phone but the battery life has really started to take a hit recently. I have 3 months left on my contract so I'll either be thinking of the S23 ultra or this pixel 7. Decisions!
and the crazy thing about pricing is: I got the Pixel pro 256gb version for 1000€ + free google watch woth 430€. if I dont like the watch I sell it for 400 and i got the pixel 7 for around 600
Dude I have been subscribed for a while now and your vids have been great like basically getting the news for phones haha. But now with these videos as well you really have a great channel!!
Pixel Watch is very disappointing as it integrated itself with Fitbit to the extent that they have the same Fitbit premium plan. A person paying already paying so much money for this watch thinks that they can get the most personalized fitness indicators but when they come to know that they have to pay a premium for customised reports. Personally speaking, I'm disappointed, I'll probably shift to Apple.
@@johnicicleboy I have A Garmin venu plus. i'm returning it. sure battery life is great but thats where it all stops. UI is clunky and archaic as hell reminiscent of the old nokia era. touch screen is not as responsive. the better buy is the amazefit gtr 4. its waaay cheaper than the Garmin and but has more functionality, better UI and just as good battery life
You should better put out a disclaimer saying that you don't have pixel 7 pro with you and it's just early impression based what we came to know from the event.
Yup, gave up on Samsung a long long time ago because of their lack of attention to software, was gonna get the pixel 6 pro but the cellular issues made me stop that decision, still using the S20 5G which has actually served me well but now it's time for a change, getting the pixel 7 pro next week and I'm sure I'm gonna be set for the next two years with it, went from a Samsung die hard for the past 5 years to Teampixel now
1:53 wrong... it does have exactly the same sensor for Ultra-wide as Pixel 6, 6 Pro and 6a, it is IMX386, just 7 Pro have additional optic lens and autofocus to enable macro mode. Also brightness is 1500 nits.
1500 nits is apparently a peak value measured in a small spot somewhere on the screen. That brightness might not be reached across the entire screen at full brightness. Still, the 1200 mentioned in the video are probably wrong.
Truthfully, i've had the S21 Ultra for over a year and a half. And the animations/scolling on random apps/switching between apps is pretty harsh at times. Even on facebook or amazon (photos in the review section particularly), my phone runs like it was made 10 years ago...Glitching and stuttering all over the place. My pixel 7 pro arrives next week and i'm not looking back.
Am I wrong or do you keep switching which side which phone is on? I don't know which one is which as I'm not familiar with either phone (trying to decide which to get).
You should keep the 2 phones consistently on the same side, such as Pixel on the left and Galaxy on the right, of the video. Especially when they looks so similar on the front. It's quite frustrating to watch.
Even with better availability, Google since the Nexus series has always had issues with their after sales service so until they improve it, I doubt they'll even make a dent on Samsung.
I'd love to see a detailed shootout between the Pixel7 Pro, Iphone14 Pro, and S23 Ultra (when it comes out)... and their respective watches. All 3 are awesome, just in different ways. Alot of it ultimately comes down to personal preference, but they all have their strengths.
@@LordAngelus yes it is like always Dont talk without facts This chip google is bragging about well sorry to ruin your day but samsung made their chip And the iphone 14 pro max display guess who made it? Of course Samsung and its not the first time So never try to disrespect samsung because you simply cant You or anyone out there
@@ffmde8268 Samsung didn't design them though, and that's what matters. For example, Ford is an American company, but the parts are built in Mexico. Who gets the credit?
Kudos to Google for launching a great device. However, in India, the S22 Ultra (256gb variant) can be bought around 75k easily nowadays (inc. Bank offers and trade-in) and the pixel 7 pro (128gb variant) is up for pre order at 65-70k (inc. Bank offers and trade in). Also, believe it or not Samsung has been a major player in Indian smartphone market from a long time and Google just doesn't take the Indian market seriously (which became evident by the fact that they did not launch a 256gb variant and watch in India). Adding to this, s22 ultra has a s-pen and trust me one ui now is extremely well optimised having great nifty features. Once you use the current one ui, it will be hard for you to switch to any other OS including stock. So, in my opinion, if someone has to buy an android phone currently in this price range, go with the s22 ultra blindly. I am personally using it since 10 days and the experience is phenomenal.
@@madanmohan3541 i got it at 75k from a samsung authorised store in Laxmi Nagar, Delhi. I was using a oneplus 7 so the trade in amount for it plus i did not purchased the watch 4 so reducing that amount too, i got it for a net price of 75500 and i believe for that price, its a steal.
I dont know when a recently launched flagship is comparable (and getting beaten in most areas) to a 7 month old phone, that means Samsung has done a great job. Tensor core 2 is exynos 2200 with mali gpu and is no match to 8 gen 1 or 8+ gen 1
@@dhjdhfm-gr5rw I been a user of Google phones since the first Nexus came out and I have to admit it always felt like Google was behind everyone else for the most part. Until pixel their cameras were horrible as well. But I recently switched to S22 ultra and realised the amount of stuff I have missed on because I was so determined to use pure android experience. S22 ultra is a productivity beast.
@@hassanshareef6794 preference vary from person to person i like clean ui so i always prefer ios and if i want Android then definitely google for clean experience
People aren't just buying the Pros and Ultras for the camera. It's because of the screen size. The manufacturers force you into the 6.7 to 6.8 option only by way of most expensive phone.
Apple nerds would never understand how much they are paying for what. I have asked many why you are paying 12-1300 and so on. Never got proper answer but "because it's Apply" :D.
03:14 The pixel 7 pro actually goes to 1500 nits my guy, you just tryna hype up the s22 ultra because you a Samsung fan boy, but you don't gotta lie for it.
It's alright but I think I'm gonna like the likely 7pro it's much cleaner design. At the end of the day opinion is opinion however samsung 108mp is useless.
the confusing thing about this comparison was that you kept switching the phones back and forth. parts of the video, the pixel was on the left side and then the samsung on the right. when looking at just the screens, it's hard to tell which is which. would be better if the pixel was on the left side the whole time and samsung was on the right
Google fi has a deal where u get $600 off the s22 ultra. I paid $699 for my 256gb s22 ultra and it comes unlocked and you only have to keep Google fi for 4 months to be eligible for the discount
1200 nits vs 1700 nits is barely a difference in brightness because it's logarithmic. for example: for a 250 nits screen to be twice as bright you would need a 1000 nits screen
M. Brandon Lee is trying to bring you down. He's jealous because you have way more subscribers than him, and his followers doesn't understand your videos.
i just dont understand why these companies are obsessed with curve display. please give us the features of S23 ultra in regular flat s23 plus aswell. I want to use flat screen Galxy phone but with evry features of Ultra
They probably want to say the display is so big look at the inches in size it is. And curved means bigger screen in smaller phone. But I agree, it's a shit design, I could care less how big the screen says it is
Curved screen sucks no iffs buts or maybes , I remember the astonishment of one of the big phone reviewers when he dropped his ultra from 12 inches and it landed on the edge and cracked the screen. Curved screens are weak , in bright conditions they leave a reflection on the edge, and you lose usable display realestate , not too mention finding a tempered glass screens protector that won’t lift on the edges is almost impossible. You couldn’t pay me to have another phone with a curved edge screen ……. A shitty feature that’s been done to death since the note 4.
@K.L COMEDY even if they wanna make it curve for the ultra , why cant they put all the features on the flat plus model aswell just like the iphone pro and pro max model. For me I just want the exact same camera sensors and the 10x telephoto lens of the ultra on the plus model..dont care about the Spen features.. Not everyone likes curve display.
@@DENVEROUTDOORMAN What exactly is so fantastic about it? The crazy reflections? Those strange colour fringes (or rather a darker line) that run along the bit where the edges begin to curve off (at least on the 6 Pro)?
I bought my pixel 7 on pre-order day. On Amazon I got the 256 GB version for $699 with a $100 Amazon gift card. The only thing I don't like about any of the new phones is no micro SD. Rip to LG mobile......those phones always had micro SD. Even the last LG phone I had the 256 GB wing with a 256gb micro SD card was a storage beast. That phone broke asurion didn't have any to replace it with so they sent me a check for $949 it was a $1200 phone at launch so they took the 250 outta that co pay outta that. It's worth it that att insurance only costs $6 a month.
I'm going to honest, Pixel 7 pro is great but would I get it over the S22 Ultra? No. I get dex, 8k (even if I wouldn't use it), a brighter better display (we all know Samsung is the display king), higher zoom capabilities, a stylus and a matte finish instead a glossy fingerprint magnet. I can get the Pixel cause it's cheaper, it has a great camera (one of the best I've ever seen), I get some Android updates faster but I'm not sold on the real tone. Even as a person of colour (I prefer being called black) I never found a challenge with my dark tone being represented in pictures taken with Iphones, Samsungs, Pixels and even some Chinese manufacturers, what I do care about though is if they've improved the representation across the board for people of all skin tones and that has to be proven by individual tests. In the end both are good but I'll pass until reviews are in and people have gotten their hands on them.
Nah I'll pass and wait for ultra 23 its been 10 years now that i never had another phone than galaxy I wanted just to give it a try with google pixel 7 pro but everything is just smoother and more stable on samsung plus i got the tab s8 ultra and dont wanna lose the samsung eco system
@@earthur715 yep thats why almost every reviewer complaing about google pixel lagging for months How can google pixel be smoother than samsung when samsung makes their chip lol hahahahahaha u dont even know what ur saying just cuz u own a pixel phone doesnt mean u have to lie and brag about it A samsung flagship phone is out of this world dude nothing compares to them whether its innovation processor camera screen resolution or anything else just give up
@@ffmde8268 I got the S21 Ultra and I only owned Samsung flagships for the last 5 years... The pixel 6 had issues but it is solved now. If you watched this whole video, animations are much smoother on the Pixel. On my S21 Ultra it's lagging and it pisses me off when I think about how expensive I paid for it.
samsung is the display king. too bad they sell their best displays to apple. the iphone pro max is 2000 nit display compared to s22u 1700. so i guess apple is the real king even if it is a samsung display.
I had the Pixel 6 while back, but I broke it. Now I have S22 Ultra. I recommend buying the Pixel 7 over S22 any day unless you really want zoom and pen
I need clarity over the OS Updates that pixel will receive and heating issues which were present in 6A ... In case this has 4 OS Updates and no heating issues i am in... Else will go with s22 plus
I have a 6A, the heating issues happened only in the first week, because of the AI in tensor figuring out my daily habits and optimizing for my use. Now I have no issues with heating. The only problem is the cellular band which i’m hearing that the 7th gen of Pixels are now using a much more premium component. Also when I contacted Google for help, they said I had 1 year of warranty with it, so if you ever want to return it or have problems down the road, it’s all taken care of.
Pixel is 3 years of updates Samsung is 4 years of updates Both offer 5 years of security patches Apple is at least 5 years, probably 7 with the new chipset. Cost per year Apple wins for flagship, Samsung for midrange unless you find a deal
@@DENVEROUTDOORMAN indeed legit, Samsung S10 and Google pixel 6 camera design and layout is the best so far, that silver coat thing is hideous, it made the phone look literally Cheap and UGLY
I think this days it's all about ui,design n speed as camera have gotten so good as an end user I already know Samsung has a good cam ,apple has a good cam etc
Watch every one ignore the lag, glitches, overheating and recording stopping because of overheating on the pixel just like every year. Because you know "stock android is the best" The excuses for the pixel annual issues and failures is never ending
Well tbh that issue only came into light after android 12 buggy update on pixel 6 series, after android 13 everything is better than anything so keep yourself updated
It would have been better if they really matched 10x zoom as s22 ultra.. But the price is nice at that range.. But the worst thing is in India only 128gb is released.. What about other countries.. Are they any high storage options like 512?
