You read the instructions! Good job. Most people who review these don't. If the battery cables are loose or corroded or the engine ground is bad sure, it will crank slowly or not at all. You have to be smart enough to use this unit. Mine cranks most engines faster than the stock battery.
I received mine today I just bought one because sometime when I go out to my 5th wheel my batteries will not work my stabilizer jack I can put my slide in and out but not my jack so it should work for that with no problem, good video.
Informative video, thanks. I purchased after watching your review, mainly for diesel trucks and tractors. Is this unit to much to start a riding lawnmower. Maybe the unit will adjust the cranking amps based on amps needed. Thanks
Nice review, I was thinking of purchasing 2 of these units to jump 24v trucks/ machines. Either one on each battery or a series cable setup which I see they sell online as well. Cant find much info on it however. Decent 24v jump packs are hard to find and I figure two of these bad boys would be quite powerful
Yeah, 24v stuff is very expensive haha. Even a big 12v jump starter rated at 10,000 amp is around $800. I guess I’m not sure how well 2 of these would work on a dead 24v system.
I guess Im just gonna have to try it out! My thinking is yes, 2 of these is still cheaper than most 24v jumpers and if it doesnt work out i guess i still get 2x gooloos outta it
I was just doing it this way to show how to use it. Didn’t have a 10mm handy to disconnect the battery. I have actually used it several times though. The battery in my GF’s Jeep (the one in the video) crapped out a few weeks ago and she had to use it to jump the Jeep each not to leave work until I could replace the battery the following weekend.
Hi Tony does this unit change up your battery ? If not does GOOLOO have a unit that does jump start and change the battery also ? Let me know and great video Tony.
No it’s just for jump starting and I don’t believe they have a product that does both. They make a charger, and several jump packs, but not one that does both.
This thing sounds ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ON PAPER but I read a number of reviews that said it wouldn't crank fast enough to start a 7 liter diesel ( big engine but well below stated 10 liter diesel capabilities) and a couple that said it didn't crank a 5.7 liter gas engine fast enough to turn it over and thats bad. So have you had the opportunity to try this on something larger maybe a 8 liter gas or 6/7 liter diesel. I found the gt4000s without the preheat for 150 bucks witch is a steal if it lives up to its claims..... thanks!!!!
Hi Tony, when you jumped your Jeep I noticed that the display only said "READY". I didn't see the volts reading from the battery before or after jumping your Jeep. Is that feature on this jump starter or not?
I don’t believe this one shows battery voltage. Just the percentage in the jump pack itself, and I think it also lists how many watts it’s charging at or putting out.
When the unit is use to charger other devices... Can you charge it at the same time at the USB type C port? Can you charge and discharge it at the same time?
So I just checked and while I was charging the jump pack via USB-C, it WAS also putting power OUT for the 12v car outlet plug, as well as the USB outlet to charge my phone 👍
Were you cranking on the engine for an extended period of time or something? Mine has worked well but I’ve never had to sit there cranking on it very long.
Not sure how to tell you this, but I can't just magically pull "frigid temps" out of my ass 🤣 I'll tell you right now though from testing a bunch of these smaller jump starters. None of them are going to jump a big rig with 3-4 batteries that's stone dead. Too much amperage draw through the internal processor and those small clamp cables. We have a Goodall brand 10,000 amp unit at my work and that one has been starting trucks in the negative temps we have been having this week. It costs about $1,000 though and it about 4 times the size of this unit.
