You know you got something when every show gets better and better, the songs, the music, the jamming. This show is AMAZING. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will loop all week play repeat and rinse and loop and play and repeat. GOOSE 24 hours a day filling up my ears soul and well my neighbors are loving you guys too.
I hope my neighbors do too because I’m currently, as I have been for the past week or more straight, sitting on front porch blasting Spafford, goose, cheese, & boombox shows like nobodies business.
My new upstairs neighbors are absolute c*nts and they're a hetero couple from some alternate universe where you just randomly harass a new neighbor for no apparent reason. The only weapon I've had is music and they clearly don't do music. Says mountains, right? And then enters Goose to set the score. The best thing about having a**hole neighbors is the gift of being able to turn that sh!t up and not feel a single ounce of regret or remorse. 🎉👻💀
Just discovered these guys about 2 days ago, haven’t been able to stop listening. Supremely talented musicians and really looking forward to their progression
Dear Lord, they are the real deal, don't ya think? I found them today!Technology, music is incredible as are the artists/MUSICIANS/and the TRIBE who makes this all possible!GOD BLESS ❤
Thank you so much for this. i don't know about anyone else, but this quickly became the year of Goose for me. This show was magical, hope that 2021 makes a few returns
Mine was 2023 NYE. I've pretty much had the weirdest and worst year ever but these boys keep pulling me through it and so grateful for them. It amazes me how I just keep returning to them. It's been a looong time since a band has been able to do that to me.
i'm no industry expert but it seems pretty unique to me that they're playing big venues like T5 now but just before Covid, they were booked at lil ol Mercury Lounge. Hustle paying off in spades. good on ya boys
Yes. An incredible mix of talent, hard work, the pandemic and their utterly brilliant strategy where they upload highly produced, high quality videos of every single show on RU-vid has put them in first place position amongst the next generation of jam bands vying to be the band who can carry the torch for the next generation of those of us who enjoy real music made by real musicians.
Right? Just a year ago their vids barely cracked 1k views, now everything is 30k. Gaining massively in popularity and deservingly so. Best jam band in years.
The high quality videos thing was so unprecedented and generous, immediately endearing them to jam band fans who stumbled upon them. Brilliant marketing move. Combine that with the musicianship of every member of the band - lockdown bass from Trevor, complementary dual percussion from Jeff and Ben, Peter with his energy and multi-instrumentalism, and Rick's rare trifecta of strong songwriting, way-above-average jam band vocals and sensational guitar skills - and you have the next hit band on your hands. Other great jam acts (like Eggy, for example, also from CT!) picked up the video thing and are running with it, and Phish, Dead and Co., Umphreys etc are all capitalizing. @@NickDonellan
The All I Need is IT. The entire venue was silent for the build and groove. I remember looking around at the whole place silent with the biggest smile on my face. This jam holds up on replay. Highlight of weekend for me along with Dragonfly bust out/debut. thank you Goose!
All I Need, 2021 and most particularly the jam out of Old Man's Boat were the highlights for me. If I didn't know any better, I'd think the boys were in the HVAC business. Always bringing the heat.
Not stealing ya thunder Tiffany / it will just stay on the top for me when I visit.. 0:59 So Ready, 14:41 Look Out Cleveland, 32:05 Honeybee, 40:02 Indian River, 53:42 The Whales, 1:01:11 All I Need II. 1:20:20 2021> 1:28:31 Old Man's Boat ftp, 1:41:09 Rosewood Heart, 1:51:23 Into the Myst > 2:04:20 Echo of a Rose > 2:14:40 2021 E: 2:19:13 Flodown
The setlist timings should ALWAYS be pinned as the top comment :) Some of my favorite Goose shows on YT have let the "Tiff Timings" slip all the way behind 100 comments of "OMG, is this '93 Phish reincarnate OMFG, OMG", and then I cannot skip to my favorite song in the set.
I was there right in front of rick with the grey hoodie and let me tell you this show was amazing. Some of the most jammed out versions of the songs on the setlist I've heard!
Rick is quickly becoming one of my favorite guitar players and few can match his vocal talents in the jam world. Honestly Ruban Neilson has been towards the tops of electric guitar playing frontmen imo but Rick's trying to win my heart...
Btw if you've never given Unknown Mortal Orchestra a listen I highly recommend starting with this one... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gaWiB8xN18Y.html these guys would be a fun tour together.
Phish is a little more going on. Everyone is essentially doing their own thing the whole time, so there’s a lot to sink your ears into. By nature, it’s not going to be as consistently tight as Goose, where whoever isn’t taking a solo is more or less holding it down right in the pocket. I don’t think phish will ever be this tight again, but they don’t really have to. It’s a beautiful slop. Goose and bands like Papadosio and Snarky Puppy are the future.
@@modelcitizen1977 I got to see Papadosio a few times this year and I love their shows, jam bands are my favorite but for whatever reason I just never could get into Phish, I’ve seen them 2 or 3 times and I just never got it 🤷♂️ but these guys are it
@@modelcitizen1977 nuanced opinion while throwing no hate. This is what the internet is for bravo fellow human. Can def see where you are coming from 28year old who has not seen goose yet and has seen phish too many time to count lol). Going to get tickets to see goose for sure
GREAT show! So much to love. :) A very nice touch was Trevor's couple (I think!) of "solo" spots - tasteful, delightful, that kind of "secret sauce" element that elevates a magnificent musical experience.
100% Agree. Trevor solo spots were definitely a highlight for me too! Although I kinda felt like Rick doesn’t like it and made a weird face over toward Peter the 2nd time Trevor solo’d.
Echo of a Rose, 2:07:30, and Rick's dealing with a string break. There's just a fleeting odd note, then he pulls it out of the way ... but If I hadn't noticed it dangling a little later, it would have just passed me by. Great playing, and one stable PRS. 👍
I'm 30 minutes in, and the energy on this set is un-fucking-paralelled Goose keeps getting tighter and tighter like it was even fucking possible to begin with
is there a youtube channel out there that helps us learn the goose guitar parts?? some of it is pretty straight forward for a mere mortal myself but they get a little crazy here and there for my knowledge set.
yall i need help one of my friends loves phish and these guys but i plain old don't like the sound or feel. I've tried to tell him but he won't stop shoving it down my throat. what do i do?
When you listen to every show they have done in the last two years some in person some on here I'd say that they must be good as relix compared tHem to tHe on fire phish in the fall of 97 man oh man this show especially with many others included but they are on fucking fire man
I'm a mid-late 90s phvet who just found goose. I agree with you of their funk jams, Peter's organ and Richards guitar are tuned exactly like 97s phunky phase. But.... thinking in comparison to an era they sound tight and energetic like 93 phish imho. Cheers🍻
IMO you both are the bookends of the best years. 93-97 was phish. I’ve been searching for something like that time and it only took 25 years to find it again here. Savoring each time I get to see them.
Having been to all of ‘96, ‘97, ‘98, ‘99, ‘00 & ‘01 not to age myself… but if memory serves the energy level is there. Once the stop playing the music and let the music play them a little more, which seems to get closer and closer with every show, then maybe they will ascend to those late ‘90s Phish shows. But why compare these guys tear it up
@@UnkleBen I took a huge hiatus almost from life in general back then and actually when they took hiatus so did I. Broke it this year at the AtlanticCity shows …my most fave at least from hazy memory were those island tour gigs in 1998
