A new poll shows Republicans leading in every Congressional District in Iowa by double-digit margins, showing the state is moving further away from its long history of a battleground state.
I lived there when Lovelass was Governor. The farming communities are all conglomerates. There is no industry in Iowa to speak of so the farming communities dictate the political well being of the state. I always wonder what would happen without government subsidies (welfare).
And since they have such overwhelming power they will of course use it to improve the lives of the people in Iowa right? RIGHT?! Yeah i'd bet they do nothing.
Democrats in Iowa did this to themselves. When I was a kid there were major differences between the two parties, but they both were fairly rational and sane. Today the democrats have become so extreme and flakey that most people don`t even take them seriously anymore. In my own county it used to be that Republicans didn`t even bother to field candidates here. Now it`s the other way around. Democrats don`t waste time and effort here anymore. There is an old saying. Leaders should look over their shoulders to see if anyone is still following. 🙂
