How do you find the overheating issue of Hero 10 Black? Is it acceptable to you and why?

I'm not really sure this test is relevant. This has already been addressed by GoPro with people doing tests like this. Watch DC Rain Maker when used under actual conditions, and also David Manning when he does the same test like you have, and then when used in normal conditions. No doubt the GoPro 10 heats up more (And uses more battery) than any other GoPro before it, however we are also talking about a GoPro with a much more powerful processing chip. All cameras with this sort of processing power have the same heating issues. Lastly GoPro have announced that they will be putting out a fix to help with over heating.

@@alangadgets Yes it’s a direct comparison, however it doesn’t show a real world comparison for the way GoPro has already stated the GoPro 10 should be used. If you want to make this video relevant, then I believe you need to show this static mode, and then a comparison in real world situations for the way the GoPro 10 is meant to be used. BTW, even though I don’t think this video is relevant in the way it has been conducted, hats off for the presentation of this video. Very good quality work 👍

Thanks for the constructive comments and encouragement. I'm not perfect so not all my video will hit everyone the right way, live and learn. Although this is by far the most hated video of mine, it is a good learning experience.

@@alangadgets 😁👍 any publicity whether it’s good or bad is always a good thing…that’s how Lou from Unbox Therapy became famous by breaking the iPhone 6. It was a hated video by Apple fan boys, but it certainly gave him a kick start to the number of followers and views he got on RU-vid, so I wouldn’t be too worried if this video doesn’t hit the spot for everyone, at least you are getting a number of comments and views which is a good thing for your channel. Hope it helps to get more interest in your channel.

I realize now that it requires great EQ to be open to public. I'm only dirt in the world of RU-vidrs, can't begin to imagine how real celebrities dealt with it.. 😅

Actually what I said in my video, I'm comparing the 2 under same conditions, it's just a relative different, not absolute. I've have been clear in my video that this is not an actual field test on the hero 10 itself, but a comparison. And my only conclusion from this is that hero 10 heats up faster than hero 9, even with airflow on both of them

Doesn’t matter how the test is conducted, the point is the 9 will outlast the 10. You could put both in the wind, in the sun, even in a freezer and the 10 black would overheat before the 9 black. The faster chip soaks up more battery and heats up quicker regardless of the parameters of the test. It’s an apples to apples comparison between the two. I like this test for people wanting to see exactly how they match up side by side before deciding to upgrade or buy one for the first time. Personaly I love my 9 black and probably won’t upgrade till they work out all the bugs in the 11 or 12 black.
