I still am trying to figure out who needs to record 4K for hour and 20 mins of anything? Some hollywood movies are not that long and they are not shooting movies in one long clip. If you are recording that long you need a camcorder. What is the real world use of recording this long?
MTB riders and similar action sports record more than 30 minutes straight. This is one of my favorite videos- 43 minutes of nonstop gopro in action. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-n_7gkhSjSjY.html&ab_channel=owlaps
@@udtrader in that video he is riding a bike with tons of airflow over the gopro which never overheated when using it as an Action Camera. In your test it's just sitting there recording like a camcorder. Gopros never overheated 90% of tbe time when used as an action camera
@@KennethGreenCMP I ride MTB trails with tons of airflow. Hero 8 has not overheated but Hero 10 overheats all the time. Firmware 1.16 seems to be better, but now I have other more pressing issues to share in my next video.
Thanks for the update assessment udtrader. I was wondering though if you have experienced bugs mentioned in this YT video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9MCOwefDJxA.html Issues: 1. GP10 turns off the recording off by itself after 15 seconds upon reaching 50% battery life. 2. Media Mod case doesn't work UNLESS you reformat the GP10. 3. Here's another FW1.16 update review wherein there were touchscreen response and rebooting issues (Extended battery mode): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GH-HhnbvZJE.html Contemplating on getting a GP10 but if it would always be this unpredictable making it unreliable, perhaps, it's better to just settle with the ever reliable DJI Osmo Action 1 even though it's quite old. It would be very frustrating if you always thought that you're recording great memories and then finding out later that it didn't with practically most GoPro units (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PTam6wTXnGc.html at 11:10) AND YES, even when using high capacity SD cards (V30). Thank you
@@udtrader Woh!!! Quite unfortunate to hear but at least this would confirm the bugs which can provide notice to potential buyers. Anyway, the youtube link where I indicated the issues have an updated video where they said that GoPro had reached out to them (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oX9yTgn7Wlg.html) via comment on their previous video that another FW update will be coming to address it.
@@plema79 "very soon!", he said. The last I heard the 11-16 release was pushed into December. I was hoping that would be wrong. Do you know anything fresh?
@@hotnanas New firmware 1.19 beta supports Max lens, but it broke too many basic functions rendering the gopro almost unusable. I have fingers crossed for a better firmware 1.20.
