I forgot to mention *SD Cards.* If you want to shoot high bitrate video with Hero 10, I highly recommend using V30 certified cards. I use these *Lexar 1066x* Micro SD Cards amzn.to/3vyU99c (256GB and 512GB) an they are 100% reliable.
2 quick questions, I'm new to the GoPro world. IF I use the waterproof housing all of the time, will I need screen protectors? Is the waterproof housing going to make the camera overheat faster? Any answers from others??
This is a wonderful video explaining all the accessory options. Specifically concerning the SmallRig Cage, I sent an e-mail to SmallRig inquiring if they would design an extension to the cage top cold shoe so that people who choose to use external mics (Rode and others) so that when the mic is outfitted with a dead cat wind shield, the dead cat will not appear in the image. I have seen various DIY jury rigged set-ups to try to get around this problem. If SmallRig just designed an extension with a cold shoe at the top of the extension, that would add maybe about one inch of height, it would alleviate that problem.

Great overview! The description of screen protection often states that it cannot be used with the Media Mod. Is this also a problem with the SmallRig cage?

How much has stabilization improved from Hero 9 to Hero 10? If the stabilization is good enough in Hero 9, should I just buy that instead of Hero 10? Great video
Hi, I am interested in the SmallRig cage to stop overheating. Please can you tell me if you were shooting indoors without any air flow? Was the settings @ 5.3k 60 fps? Also, can you make a video on overheating and a cage review? Thanks
You will still get unlimited recording even with no airflow. I don't really have anything else to say about that, so I don't intend to make a separate video about that.
I just got the cage based upon this review. I recorded my trip home. I made it home in about 45 minutes and brought it in to finish off the battery. It stopped after the battery got low in an hour and seven minutes. I was at 5.3 k 30, I did not notice that it was not 60 fps, but it was not hot all. The cage really is a major improvement.
