Thanks for the straight to the point review. Nice video and analysis. I have the hero 10 and I think that I'll keep it instead of upgrading and your review helped me with the decision. I like it a lot already. Only feature that impressed me is this new 360 horizon lock.

I like the idea of horizon lock, and the stabilization is great (for several generations now). Short interviews would be good…I’ve been doing that since the ver 8. Longer videos would have heat issues. I’ve also been considering the Insta 360 One 1in RS. It has horizon lock too, but isn’t as robust as GoPro. What keeps the GoPro from being a real goTo for me is that the button controls are clumsy and resistant to pressing.

Time to grab a 10 at a bargain price, sounds like gopro have done what they always do , software update on the 11

Gopro needs to listen to its customers and upgrade to things we want and need versus the little gimmicks.

Why does it look like a fish eye? I hate that.

My experiences with GoPro have been super negative. I won’t ever buy another. Issues have been connecting to app issues, videos not showing up on app when it connects, splitting videos that are longer than 7 mins or jumping into slow motion by itself. They always lie about shipping times. Won’t ever buy another GoPro it’s crap and their customer Service department in the Philippines is useless. I returned my GoPro 11 and the GoPro 8 will be my last ever. Not to mention they lied about the free year of GoPro subscription as they would not extend my current subscription for another year after I bought a go pro 11. They are the worst company.😅 I joined the Insta X3 Family and loving it so far!

Omg, it's like the perfect vlog camera! Full Frame is just an insanely useful mode!

Still overheating and shutting down like all the other versions before???? Not buying another one. And half of the new features most people forget after using that thing in a regular base, too much to think of....

Everybody that I watch that has a GoPro always complain about the overheating issue, did they fix that?

Nice promotional video. But there are two important points missing: audio and reliability. 1. Audio: To connect a simple external microphone, I need the expensive MediaMod adapter, which makes this action cam much larger and heavier. Also, the Media Mod makes for awkward handling when I need to change the battery. We are still talking about an action cam that can also be mounted on a helmet. 2. reliability: Oh dear, my Hero 9 has let me down so many times. Freezes, too hot, or it went out even though the battery was still 30% full. All little premium.

i was wondering if the enduro battery last longer? i tried to shoot underwater in 5.3K with my Gopro 10 and the regular battery that comes with it won't last that long.

a major limitation of GoPro 11 black is no zooming facility while video recording . that is the main reason I am returning my gopro11 .hope its available in go pro 12 when its released in sept 2023 just 2 months to wait

Hello James, greetings from Málaga. Do you live in Valencia? I just recently bought the Hero 11 and I upgraded from the Hero 7 but I could not find an improvement of the battery life. Mine lasts about 45-50 minutes while recording in 4K and on my motorcycle. Best regards.

With what camera/phone were the segments outside shot? E.g. 0:12-0:17 & 1:04-1:08 Doesn't look really sharp for 1080p (even if it's outside in full daylight)🤔

Receiving my GoPro 11 tomorrow. This video definitely helps with understanding more about my device. And although I do have a GoPro hero nine I am extremely excited about the night photos from this new device and it also provides me a gopro for a different perspective.

So... let me see if I got this right -- if I mounted a Go Pro to my bicycle to record a continuous ride, I could record close to 2 hours without interruption? Is that correct?

pretty meh upgrade... I have the 10 and its unusable unless in a sunny day. forget using it at night or any type of indoor sports or even at Daytime in the shade.

Man, if you did not mentioning the HUGE overheating issue with this camera, there are two options: You're either partnering with GoPro and this is and ad disguised as review or your reviews are just an ode to yourself and your Holidays in Valencia and don't show what is important... The GoPro Hero 11 black (that I bought yesterday after watching your review) overheats up to 54°C recording in just 4K at 30fps with the front display off and the battery discharged from 95% to 62% in just 24 mins of recording.

They need to make a sensor that can focus very close.

i really dont believe this. i havent used my gopro in a while and it had flickering screen and in recording. anti flicker set at 60hz i select 50hz, it restarts and still says 60hz. i reset device and now can select 50hz. but what i have also noticed is 4k 120fps is not there anymore. i can only choose 100fps or 200fps which brings resolution down to 2k. what the fucks happened because i do videos at 4k 120fps on my gopro. ive just seen that when im at 60hz i can select 120fps. im in the UK so im suppose to set at 50hz. what do u think i could do? i dont want to go any lower than 4k res.

It seems that freezing, SD card issues, and overheating are not uncommon with this camera. I have never owned any tech for which this level of unreliability is just accepted! I bought one the other day on sale, haven’t even opened it yet and am thinking of returning it because of the bad reviews. What has your experience been? Are these negative reviews skewed or accurate?

I’m waiting delivery of a GP 11 for my motovlog. I currently use a GP 9 which has spotty reliability. I also have a B-Roll camera from AKASO Brave 4. It’s not a bad little camera for what I use it for. The 9 will become another B-Roll camera

Helpo Me Choose, What Am I gaining/ losing in GoPro 11 Black, and Gp 11 Black Mini?

Did Go Pro ever close the door while charging up the battery. I liked more when charging on the side so I can use the camera. That was a very bad idea to leave the door open. I can’t charge the camera while on my car when used on the windshield.

Does these cameras have wifi which will enable us to upload content to our wireless devices and social media?

In another review of go pro 8/9/10/11 the 11 had battery issues (how long it lasted compared to the others) with the wait until they have an update to buy it .

This video really makes the GoPro video look horrible because it is remixed to 24FPS. I have a Hero 8 and I know there is NO way it really looks that bad.

There’s one thing they never update is there batteries I bought one go pro 8 Good camera but the batteries suck both of my batteries blew up like a balloon and they don’t fit in my camera anymore and my cameras worthless now use that camera about five times

The GoPro's video quality looks horrific to me. Is this how it's meant to be? I've never owned one.

The gopro 9 is the best in terms of better battery, screen in the front, impressive inbuilt mic, and decent all around. BUT it still bugs sometimes and you have to hard restart by taking the camera out, and they can say 4k all they want, that's just a number and my Sony A7R3 1080p is far superior. Gopro seriously lacks in dimly lit conditions, making me unable to film most of my paintings. For the Hero 12, don't had 8k or a coffee holder, or whatever gimmick, JUST IMPROVE the sensor! However, in good light this camera is very decent.

Gopro are absolutely rubbish. The amount of time I was recording and when I go to review the recording. The gopro only recorded 5 minutes then stopped. Even once recorded for 40min and checking that it was recording constantly and when I went to play back the footage it had only recorded just over 8 min. It's was absolutely madding. I would not recommend gopro to anyone they don't work properly and they are always overheating and freezing. Totally a waste of money.
