Hey Tom ! thanks for your comment! The plate recognition is pretty good for both the 11 and 12 but it does depend on the resolution. A higher resolution- like 4K - captures more pixels of data than 1080 - so the quality will be better. It does use up more space on your memory card though. Increasing the frames per second would also improve plate recognition- even at 1080 - but again you would be using more of your memory card. I normally use 128 G or 256 G memory cards and they can capture hours and hours of footage depending on your resolution and fps. If you set your GoPro to loop you can save on space. I have made a video on filming at night that you might find handy. I hope this helps. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ns-zTXqXPPE.html
@@OakmanNZ Hey OakmanNZ! You can definitely film in 1080p. It uses less space on your memory card and is still in full HD however I find 4K works the best for me. Thanks for your comment!
Hey @mukherjeerahul3 ! Thanks for your comment. There's not a lot of difference between these two great cameras but i appreciate your opinion. Thx for watching!
Hey Joseph, thanks for your comment and your opinion. Even though it's older , the 11 does do a great job as a dashcam. Thanks for watching. all the best.
Hey JM! Thanks for your comment. Interesting that you thought the 11 looked better . With the same processor and specs in this video, the only real difference between the two is the HDR option on the 12. Thanks for your opinion and taking the time to check out my video.
