This was exactly what I needed. I’m prone to making mistakes w first use-typically pulling on something too hard. You are spot-on about the door not opening easily when it’s new. If I hadn’t found this video, I’m preeeety sure I’d be working with a DohPro right about now Anyway, many thanks

Really thanks. You've saved me showing that the camera works without battery while the charger is connected to the camera. It's crazy that in the Go Pro manual is not explained. There is only written that the camera can not record while battery is charging.

Thanks for the video mate, I was panicked when plugging in the USB still no respond of charging. Then while watching and heard u said plug out the battery and then put it in back while the usb in, surprisingly the red light was on. thank god for your video man. you're life savour. Kodus for that!

@@xavierheadbang I always wall charge , and yes it still takes very long, I used it this weekend at the Colorado river in Laughlin, and one battery was at 86% and took 2 hours.

I had to lookup this video becuase when I first plugged the battery and tried to charge it, I don't see any indicator lights. Only discovered you can power the gopro with just USB and got the confirmation it's charging only after turning it on.

Any idea how long the first charge takes? I've been waiting for two and a half hours now and they solid red light is still on. So desperate to try it out, but want to make sure I get the most out of the battery life. Also thanks for the tip on using the gopro with a power cable even without a battery. Very helpful!

It’ takes about 1.5 hrs plugged into wall socket but plugged into a computer it takes almost 4 hrs cause of lower current.

Just be careful with the power bank, usually they output more power and could ruin your battery or your GoPro it over heat it if it doesn't have a battery

Really cant fully disable gopro hero 9 microphone when video is on? i didnt find that option in camera menus there was only raw audio controls and voice command and that has on and off function but nothing in mike set on/off i only founded volume meter and wind recused option but taking it 0 i dont think it disable a mike or does it? does it need media mod addon to control a mike if so i say thats pretty stupid and cashing to consumer needlessly...

If your battery is super dead, give a couple of minutes before writing it off for no charging light.

I just got the hero9 and the charging port is so finicky… it takes like 5 tries and bending the wire at a specific angle to get it to start charging. I’m probably going to get a separate unit to charge the batteries.
