GoPro Karma Grip - Stabilized Gimbal Review

Nice vid. The combo of the grip and the drone was really calling to me but now with the Karma problems, I've gone for the Mavic. I was wondering if you would consider doing a test/demo of using the Mavic hand-held. I know it won't be as nice as a Karma Grip and a Hero but I'm curious how big the difference will be. Specifically, I'm curious if you can turn on/off the drone with the arms folded. It seems like the props do a bit of motion when it turns on and I wonder if that would be a problem if you were trying to use the Mavic folded up as a hend-held. Thanks

Hmm when you're at about 4:13 the quality looks so much lower than at 5:16, any idea why?( I realize this isn't a reflection of the gimbal but just curious)

Would have liked to hear the sound of the Hero 5 attached to the Gimbal... saw a couple of other reviews and still hear the humming of the motors as there is a microphone directly against the side of the gimbal once you mount it. Perhaps GoPro has done a firmware update?.... Also what is time length (per charge) of the battery on the gimbal if you are using lots. Is it water proof? you said you can take it for surfing shots? I am still waiting to for these to go on for sale.... GoPro is missing the boat with their drone and gimbal.

Can anyone speak to the battery life of the Karma grip? If its really just 2-3 hrs that's pretty short if you're out skiing all day, etc. (which is why I'm leaning towards the Removu S1 w/swapable batteries and the ability to mount). Curious if anyone has any hands on experience with the Karma battery life as it seems like a deal breaker as such a short battery life?

Thank you! About time someone did a good review on the gimbal. I'm trying to decide between this and a Removu S1 which has just come out but I need to see more on how good the mounting system is on the Karma Grip and how versatile it is. S1 is really versatile as you don't need that cable thing the Karma Grip will need but that being said the S1 has the battery pack in the mountable part so it'll be heavy I'm sure!

Does the case that comes with it include a shoulder strap and mount? Or is it only able to be mounted to the "Karma Case"?

Looks like a really snug fit. Will the GoPro get scratched from sliding it in and out? On the same note, I saw that you had to remove the little side door to expose the ports. Will the hero 5 still be protected from water? Thanks!

I love the karma grip but I am finding (i think it is a camera thing not the grip) that whenever I move the camera side to side the footage is a bit blurry or jittery :(. Anyone know how to rectify this? I've got a high spec memory card and iMac and I'm playing around with the iso settings and shutter speed. Thank you!

I heard and read that the housing of the gopro karma grip blocks and alter the sound quality going in to the microphone of the Hero5. Have you tested it the hero5 with and without the karma grip? and notice any difference in the sound quality? thanks!
