Classical physics and calculus mostly. Not my specific area of expertise but I know enough about math to know it involves those two areas. Calculus was one of my favorite subjects in advanced math and in layman terms is the study of growth or rate of change. In this particular case I would imagine you would use newtons equations, like F = ma. But thats what they teach in high school and its wrong, really is the sum of all forces = ma. And you would then find your target acceleration at the tip of the jump that would launch you and your bike through a parabolic trajectory on to the landing ramp. But lots of calculus, classical physics and obviously algebra.

God I miss the feeling of getting into a rhythm on my KX. Being middle aged I’ve not ridden hardly at all as of late, but nothing compares to the memories of being in my teens and racing motocross at a local level and knowing a track and just being in sync with my bike and every bump jump and berm in the track we would go to that weekend. True bliss. No one could hear it but I was smiling ear to ear and yelling most of the time just from having so much fun catching big air and blasting through turns. Nothing quite this big, but the feeling is the same. I miss the hell out of it.

I used to race motocross and hare scrambles when I was a kid. I’ll be 37 this summer and started riding hard enduro / enduro a few years ago. It’s fun. Really hard, can still get hurt but def not as fast paced and huge jumps.

Holy fuck. That last jump before the video ended was super unforgiving. How would you even gauge that? You'd have to build a safe landing and jump it and get it down, then you can take away dirt from the landing cause there's no way I would hit massive jumps that are that unforgiving

He used to race as an amateur. I bet he could qualify for a night show in SX if his fitness is there. He’s done a couple hare scramble or WORCS races. He’s fs not bad. Too much steez to be wasted on speed though in my opinion
