the WHALE SELFIE! I think that's the best underwater gopro photo i've ever taken (actually nah, the photo of anna with the minkee is GOAT) Hope you enjoyed legends
My new favorite channel. Your videos caused/motivated me to go buy a GoPro Hero 10. Been using it on our vacation and making so many memories that my A7iii could not be brought along for!
Quite often it appears like you two just pick a piece of ocean and just go for it. Obviously especially around Australia you have dangers like sharks 🦈, jellyfish, rips and as you mentioned sea snakes. What precautions do you take to remain safe? And how do you recommend one should become more confident with taking the plunge in the waters around Australia?
Thank you for great instructional videos! I've recently acquired a gopro 10 and plan to vlog our next cruise vacation. I'll be keeping many of your tips in mind throughout the trip.
Hi, the image quality looks very sharp and so do the colors. I was curious whether these are directly the images recorded with the GoPro or have the images been edited with a program? Now you have very clear water and the images are beautiful, but in less clear water I still see that the images of the Gopro 12 turn green. This makes me hesitate to buy it. It might be wiser to wait for the Gopro 13🤔. Thanks for your video and keep it up 🤙🏼 greetings from the Netherlands
The problem with GoPro's raw photo settings is you can only shoot wide. No linear. I hate that. And even if I bring it into Lightroom and play around with the lens correction to get rid of the fish-eye, it still looks distorted.
@@JakeRichandAnnaChah I like your work man and learned alot from you I want to pitch an idea to you, I will email you this week hope you will read it, thank you so much for sharing your experience and knowledge.
I love the footage! One question I have tho, what would you recommend to do (settings etc.) for people who dont get good/clear visibility? In Ireland its like winning the lottery (chances of having clear water) and I am getting better with creating videos and pictures but any tricks for folks who are cursed with less visibility or ‘busy’ water environments (plankton etc.)?
I recommend learning how to use the "dehaze" tool in adobe lightroom! It can bring out the most insane shots from murky waters. But in saying that, "you can't always polish a turd" so having great source images is also important :) Keep going with it
Nice good looking picture. Can I ask what setting do you use for FOV? Wide or linear? If wide, how do you make the videos not to have that slightly fish eye effect on the sides? Thank you.
Hi Jake and Anna, great video and channel. Subbed. Hey quick question, I’d like to get a selfie stick for underwater, which one would you recommend? I see you’re using a Ulanzi, do you like it for underwater use?
My dome gets water drops all the time, it spoils everything. I tried rain repellent, but it didn't work completely. Also, dome easily getting scratches. Finding purely transparent water is also not that easy, most of the time you have to shoot very very close to see something

Hey, I'm planning on shooting a bit in the GBR in about a month. Does the dome lens do fine with just plain underwater duties? Or is it just best left to 50/50 shots? I have the protective housing as well, but only my dome port has a red filter on it (for blue waters). Just wanted to know basically if I should buy a seperate red filter that works with protective housing.
The dome lens holds a lot of air in it so no, it’s not recommended also for going deep. I would just use it on the surface or within a few metres, for diving >10m I recommend using a dive case because of the water pressure and if you want a red filter add one on your gopro before you put it in the dive case 🤘🏽
@@thedesertbeast9248 thanks for checking out the vids and sharing the stoke, hero 8 is a great camera! you're all equipped to capture as many sea snake shots as you like :)
Question , I bought a Gopro hero 8 great camera , can you or someone help find the best way to video edit , such as apps .What are the best apps on a android phone, it's the best I got to video editing. So if you or anyone can help me, I too want make my own Gopro channel and show beautiful footage and do it the right way, Thank you and God bless you.
No you don’t but before you go in open the battery door and give the edges of the door and inside the camera a quick wipe down with a clean piece of fabric! Dirt, hair, and sand can push on the water sealing o-rings and if you change temperatures too quickly (like hot day with cold water) that could cause a leak!
8 minutes of pure ocean goodness in one of the most remote parts of the world, so difficult to get to that barely anyone on the internet has ever been... have a great day sir

Thanks for sharing the stoke Dusty ;) I feel ya, the a7iii is such an epic camera but sometimes can feel a little in the way. Keep shooting on both making memories, they're both such valuable tools.
