I was having a really crappy day, and for some odd reason this video started playing. I have not been looking into learning how to edit My videos 😹. Anyway, your energy and your joke about “slowly turning into Marge Simpson” made me laugh uncontrollably and changed my mood. Thank you.
You nailed it when explaining the importance of audio! I’m an audio guy who’s now learning the filmmaking side, and so many people underestimate the value of good audio and how poor audio can ruin the best cinematic creation. Well explained, and thank you especially for balancing your audio between your explanation sections and video/audio example sections. I often watch these type of videos on my TV and it drives me nuts when I have to scramble for the volume when one section comes in twice as loud as another...lol.
Just found your channel right before taking off on a film trip to document humanitarian work in Ukraine. Super helpful. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
thank you for working on such important stories. All the best with the trip, stay safe, and let me know if there's anything I can help with. Safe travels
I nearly passed on this one as I don't have a GOPRO, but I'm glad I watched it - I learned so much about video editing, and the steps to follow to create an infinite loop was something I really wanted to know so thank you!
Those whoosh sounds are a nice touch. I almost did not notice until you pointed them out, but they really make the video flow together. The Gopro 8 has beautiful colors straight out of camera, I am very impressed, but your color grade was on point too!
Dude I've been binge watching you're videos ! You kill it I really appreciate the knowledge .. can't wait for some better weather to get out and shoot!
@@JakeRichandAnnaChah Thank you !! you aswell ..you seriously motivated me to go get out , I went out and posted a short clip today ! still needs work but I see improvements (:
Loved the "bellissimo" part ahahha. Moreover, hearing some good Australian bettah and watah reminds me of my lovely months in Sydney. Greetings from Italy
I’ve been watching tons of your videos and I found them very informative but I gotta say the energy in this one is IMMACULATE. Plus it’s very informative and useful too so it’s perfection 👌🏼
I didn't watch the entire video just for the content , I watched it because you really hooked me with your enthusiasm in the whole video nicely done I'm now subscribed and ticked the Bell see you again soon
@@JakeRichandAnnaChah you are most welcome my friend keep up the good work and watch as I try to break 30 subscribers after 6 months of being on the Tube LMAO
Hey Jake! I'm a newbie in this whole GoPro world and I found it amazing how to have many options in only one small camera blooms all our creativity! Anyway, I normally use Adobe Premiere for my not so cinematic editions but I just was interested in the Adobe Rush app. Which one would you recommend the most for a not-so-newbie, not-so-pro video editor like me? By the way, I love your videos! I've been watching them then the whole week and I never get bored. Thank you so much for all you do! If you ever come to Guadalajara, Mexico, I'll be happy to show you the amazing city and its surroundings. :D
Very nice. I am following your videos as you started your channel. I am big fan of yours. I have started my channel by just following your videos. Love from China 🇨🇳
Can you do a video on the settings and tips you have to capture such clean footage on your GoPro? Your footage is very clean, with little to no pixel artifacting!!
Thanks heaps loving the channel! - I'd love a video about actually filming the footage - how you move your camera etc. If you've already done it (I saw a little bit of it in the how to make Cinematic GoPro videos video) then let me know which videos you covered it in. Keep up the great work!
Awesome video! These tips are great! I love how how much you emphasize the quality of audio for story telling and emotion. Can't wait to step my video making game up lol I really need to post my videos to RU-vid instead of putting everything on Instagram haha
Great tutorial mate, you have got great explanation skills. I found it very interesting. I personally haven't edited much over the last 5 years. but its great to see how things have gotten easier! I will check out the new adobe suite. btw the hair suits you! haha
Amazing content as always! If you were going to make a POV driving clip what settings would you do? I plan on making POV car reviews, i have a Hero 8 too
Let your hair grow for now.. have you heard Susheela Raman , I think you would enjoy some of her sounds. On a side note how do you curate or compile music to use in your videos? What platform do you use . Can you do a video on that?
I mostly use Premiere Pro but since Rush has had software updates it's much better and I've been using it a lot more for Instagram video edits like this
Hey, how do you get the footage off your go pro? We have tried putting in the cable and it won't transfer the files across without popping up a message to say we have to pay for each one in a program lol.
my question is how does everyone get this crystal clear footage out of their GP and then maintain that after YT upload? I always feel like by the time it goes through YT's compression, I loose a bit of quality...
hi Jake! Love your videos! One question: i have always quality issues when uploading gopro videos on RU-vid (super blurry and grainy). What are the best exporting settings on Premier pro? what am i doing wrong... Usually film in 2.7K 60fps and create a 1920x1080 sequence...
Best way to get the most out of youtube is to upload your videos in 4K - it will maximise the codec that youtube is using to process your videos. When exporting out of Rush or Premiere Pro select the preset "RU-vid 4K Ultra HD" it seems to do the trick for me
I screwed up some settings like the color flat and messed with the white balance 👀 my videos came out horrible super bright and faded! Is there any way I can fix them?
Set the white balance to auto and shoot again. Unfortunately not a lot you can doo if the video file is super faded. You can try tweak the exposure settings but it won't bring back any of the details lost during capture
Hey Amelia, I first studying a cert 3 in electronic music production at SAE Institute - then continued on with a diploma of sound at SAE. Thoroughly enjoyed it
@@JakeRichandAnnaChah Same-same then! I nearly went to SAE actually but they didn't have HECS haha! Creative music technology is music production and engineering, also throughly enjoyed it! Not a super common thing to study though haha.
