Even as an avid Kiwi supporter ............Gorden is the best Rugby league player, i have ever seen. Old school, no Bull S**t and tough as nails..... He was never a dirty player, but if you 'tested him' he would reply in spades. Players had so much respect for him as did the fans. Much respect when he showed that he is Human and does have a 'soft side' when talking about Kevin Walters and how he struggled to cope with that. Gorden is the type of player that we all wish we could have been and, still today, is unmatched in his contribution to this sport. Much Aroha (love & respect) to him. Big Jim NZ

I don't know what hurts more, seeing Tallis score against the Broncos for the Dragons... or realising how far the Broncos have fallen from these glory years

I came from Victoria and didn’t know much about rugby and asked a friend who Gordon Tallis was. He said “Gordon Tallis was an unstoppable machine.”

One of my most favourite players to watch when I was a kid. Would love seeing this man run a muck on the field. Legend of the sport!

Too much is made of that tackle. There was nothing heroic about it. Some huge guy ragdolling a little anorexic dude is probably the most cowardly thing that's ever happened in the game.
