The Gordie Howe International Bridge will span the Detroit River, connecting Windsor, Ontario, Canada, with Detroit, Michigan, USA. It will be located approximately 2 kilometers (about 1.2 miles) downstream from the existing Ambassador Bridge.

You know what would be really neat is if you could catch it sometime when they are installing a new section. Tieing it in to the existing span and watching them install the cables that hold it in place. I really enjoy watching these videos you post. At my age of 81 I hope I live long enough to see it finished. Thank you.

Great view looking at the American span of bridge from the Canadian side of the bridge. Another excellent video Michael. I'd like to see how they take the elevator and crane down from the side of the tower. Thanks again for the update videos.

The cables obviously support the bridge out to the center but does the actual connection of the two platforms provide much additional support?
