@@andrewjones-productions Um there are several TV programs that allow swearing or have swearing in them. Not everything is going to be cotton candy kid friendly stuff. Some people don't enjoy that type of stuff because it's too bland. Also sometimes the staff in the restaurants that he goes to also swear and they're cooking food that could possibly endanger the customers, like rotten food there was one time where there was a bird in one of the restaurants kitchens. It's hard to keep your cool in those situations.

Nah, it's not even TV in general, it's just the way they edit American shows that makes it seem like he's not a nice guy. Go watch any of his British shows and you'll see he's just like in this interview.

He's been softening his image post-"Hell's Kitchen". Check out "Masterchef Junior" and his cooking shows. He's a real teddy bear in those.

Nah trust me, he’s not a nice guy. You only need to google him, and you’ll find that he’s cheated on his wife, got into a public spat with a (Australian I think) presenter whom he went out of his way to humiliate and the list goes on.

That's a game show host persona he plays on Hell's Kitchen. It was a contest designed to cause drama as Ramsey pushed the contestants like a drill Sargent in a high end restaurant. He's much more laid back when he's doing an interview or guest cooking on a holiday special.

The preferred cleaning supplies are fragrance-free, but too many restaurants do not have the proper suppliers. One of the best places I ever worked at was a steak house that had a kitchen built with cleanliness in mind. Everything was stainless, the butcher block was nylon (but wait) and NOTHING was stored on the floors. The wooden slat-boards for the kitchens were replaced every six months, and were removed NIGHTLY and taken to the back lot where they were steam-pressure cleaned and dried. Meanwhile EVERY floor in back had a drain, and a hot-water flush mechanism on every drain. The walls were fiberglassed up to 14 inches with a curve that blended into a fiberglass resin treatment on the floor. It took me about an hour (I was a prep-cook, dishwasher, and cleanup guy on evenings most of the time) to go through, steam pressure-wash the slats, floors, under-slat area, and we used superhot steam as the only sterilizing agent. We also didn't have flies, despite being in Southern Oregon and being a steak place. It turns out that flies will not try to fly at low altitudes. If your door is (I believe) 12 feet tall, then a pair of high velocity fans blowing outward at the top 4 feet of the door will keep the place fly-free. We NEVER went below a B and usually had an A rating when I was there. Later, a manager screwed up the walk-in and had packages of raw meat above a case of salad, and that manager was fired SO FAST. (Cooks were watched when handling large amounts of meat after one of the first cooks there was discovered to be taking home prime rib roasts to feed to his fighting dogs.)

in my day all we had was industrial bleach and boiling hot water for everything . it worked fine.

My dude I worked in a kitchen where a coworker constantly left raw chicken in with deli meats, handled lettuce after cracking eggs, cooked and served food that had clearly gone past date.. sometimes even 4+ day old dishes that had been out for hours per day. I did my best to correct it, but I wasnt a supervisor and unfortunately the boss didn't care. Crazy thing is, the place passed with flying inspection. I have no idea how they haven't killed somebody yet. Seeing commercial kitchens can be...sobering. I'm not saying don't eat out, but damn if it isn't a roll of the dice sometimes.
