Yes he said it, for this reason you can't say: "Cooks Carbonara in 10 minutes". Call it what you want, but not "Carbonara"! Carbonara is a typical dish and has very specific ingredients, everything you do differently you cannot call it carbonara because it is a deception.

This is like the 15th time I heard him say, "fresh frozen," yet in the U.S. he lost his shit on a restaurant owner who claimed his inventory was "fresh frozen," declaring it cannot be "fresh" if it is frozen. Maybe it's a Brit thing. But GD, Tilly calling him out on the chili, mushroom, and creme fraiche not belonging in a carbonara make me trust Tilly more than Gordo, because SHE is correct. Maybe it's a British carbonara but if someone did anything remotely like that to shepherd's pie, heads would roll.

10 minuti per la carbonara. Ne servono 5 per farla in modo decente. Ma poi ha sbagliato tutto. Ma tutto. Sin dall'inizio. Olio per la pancetta. Errore. Guanciale solo. Non c'è nemmeno un passaggio fatto per bene. Tutto sbagliato. Anche per i spaghetti. Incredibile.

Most time consuming is not about "cooking" but to prepare the ingredients... please count the preparation time in as well.. You need at least 5 mins to get the water boiling and another 10 mins to get spaghetti cooked.
