I've cooked it before and no it didnt turn out great. It was fine though. Every step of the recipe has big chance to f it up. And its expensive to make, so unless youre quite well off you cant afford to make it that often. It really is difficult to make properly.

If you watch Gordon, in each show he is expecting from chefs the Level they are claiming/ going for in the competition. A Pro should be a pro, an amateur should have atleast amateur skills.

@@Kolossuszy again try cooking a steak on a hot plate there is more to it than timing (yes timing is a factor) but it is far more difficult to get a perfect medium rare steak on a hot plate as opposed to a cast iron pan on a stove or on a grill that takes experience and skill.
