Gordon Walker performing his 'party-piece' at a piping recital in edinburgh. 16 parts in this epic tune. was very loud, so sound is a bit dodgy!you learn to block the fuzz out after a while...
Isn’t there a clean copy of Gordon Walker Playing this anywhere? ( like for sale?) I love this version, but it is distracting that the sound quality is compromised.
It's the reel/hornpipe version of Fiddler's Rally... since he wrote the jig I assume he wrote that arrangement of it as well. It is somewhat reminiscent of TJN though.
Pity about the sound distortion. The volume was too much for the microphone of the camera used. I still like Angus McColl but my new favourite is definitely Gordon Walker.
lomax343 they play in a micro key. Between B and B Flat. It's a pain when your learning the pipes and your own school doesn't support them because they don't know a thing about them. Even the so called "Scottish Music Teacher" in my school doesn't even know how to make the pipes work with other instruments. I find it kind of unbelievable that a Scottish school is more prepared to teach someone the ukulele instead of Their countries national instrument.
