The T-800 is one of my favourite trucks. I even learned on one. So to put a high hood on it just makes it look so much nicer with all of the benefits of the set back axle... As much as I love the W900 wide hood my work gave me, I need me some T-800H

I apologize for the delayed reply. Can’t believe I missed your comment. I’m also a fan of the T800H. Visibility is a slight issue but the operating pros outweigh the cons. Aggressive look, too. Thanks for watching the video. Greatly appreciate it.👍😎

Thanks for this nice video of "Heavy Haul'n" I used to do this same thing for over 44 years. I had alot of different tractor's over the years. most where 4 axles and I had 3 & 4 axles Jeeps with 4 axle trailers w/ 3 & 4 axles Stinger's on the back of them and most of my trailers were 10' wide. I also had another truck & trailer to haul my jeeps & stingers on to the job site's. I hauled mostly Giant loads here in the states.

Geremy your KenworthT800H truck is awesome looking and reminds me of the trucks that are used in American truck simulator. Beautiful work done to make that truck stand out and get attention. Hope your in more video's

Thanks for watching the video! I appreciate the kind words! Listening to the trucks work is part of the video's appeal. If ever I have music it will be to open or close the video. Not during the trucks gearing up and rollin' on. Thanks again for watching the video.

Wow -- thank you so much for the supportive words! A few large cities peppered here and there among the beautiful mountain wilderness. A lot of big rig traffic up here in beautiful British Columbia. Thanks again for the kindness and viewership.

Those mechanical Lowboys are tough to get under loaded! I ran one for 4 months hauling oversize excavators and dozers. I'd second the comment about getting your weight as far to the rear as you can...your fifth wheel slides will thank you as they are a BOOGER when the plate gets wedged after they start getting wear on them. Slick rig

A bit educational for some one that has never seen a mechanical RGN that's all we had on our jobs ay PST heavy haul no wet line needed . Any truck fitted with the frame ramps could pull them . I had a wet line on mine along with the ramps .

Nice T800H Rigg 4Sure...what make of camera did you use for this video it's so clear.
@coolbigrigs

I agree - this T800 is one fine lookin' piece of machinery! Usually this color is not the most appealing on a truck but this two tone combination stands out. The camera I use is a generic GoPro 4: Silver edition. I film at: 1080p, 60 fps. it takes very clear video but I usually find a way just to mess things up. LOL. If I'm not accidentally shaking the camera I'm accidentally making unwanted noises that show up in the movies. Thank you for watching the video. Your comments are greatly appreciated!

You need to run the machine all the way back FIRST, then hook back up a lot easier on the equipment truck and fifth wheel sliding. After hooked up move the machine into final position and chain it down. Thats how I take care of my equipment T800 and Cozad trailer

Wait I just noticed, does it have a one axle jeep just sitting on the frame of truck, if so, can someone explain the reason for it not riding on its axle?
@coolbigrigs
@coolbigrigs 4 года назад
The Jeep was in the raised position for this load. An extra axle is not required to haul this weight of equipment. So many regulations truckers have to learn and abide to. The public has no idea the knowledge truckers must have to be legal and safe.

What a rough as guts horrible time consuming way of shifting gear, here in New Zealand and Australia we simply just walk machines straight onto the back of the trailer, tie it down and gone to the next job. We have swing wing or widener trailers so they can be easily widened hydraulically to fit larger machines and only takes a couple of minutes to do. The only advantage with this American style of trailer is the machine is a bit lower to get under lower structures, but the downside seems to be trying to get it over rail line crossing's without getting bellied, and there's a few videos on here of that happening then the train turns up and cleans it up.

i havent been there but here in the states there are plenty of low-height obstacles to contend with, especially if you're a local guy hauling your boss' equipment from site to site. Not to mention the utility companies hang wires at the lowest possible height (phone & TV cables are regulated to 14ft in residential/rural areas) Most local moves don't require escort so nobody is there to move those obstacles. So the lower you can get the load to the ground, the lower your chances of an expensive repair bill from the phone company! Not to mention many of our highways are in less than desirable condition, so lowering the center of gravity as much as possible is every bit of a safety measure as making sure enough chain is used. I've avoided about a dozen frame-out situations over train tracks by simply taking the 45 seconds to stop and raise my neck height setting and trailer suspension setting, and if it still looked questionable i found another route to where i was going.
@SuperMrcat
@SuperMrcat 6 лет назад
Our maximum height a 4.25m which is about 14 feet, we don't have to have escorts to sort out any low wires, just be careful. It seems awfully slow having to pull the goose neck out of the way then load and then reconnect the gooseneck on the tractor, a lot of our areas there isn't the room to do this without walking down the road, other vehicles or simply cant get past the trailer.

SuperMrcat well see Australia is nothing but flatland desserts and have no worries of underpasses or big trees we have a limit to height thats why we have extra steps

There is a lot of physical work when it comes to trucking. The majority of people only see trucks hauling down the highway. People don’t see the loading and unloading process which is hard work. I appreciate you noticing the hard labour which goes into trucking. Thank you for watching. 👍😀

HANK CLINGINGSMITH - Yes I couldn't believe how he pushed the trucks rear axle into the trailer to hitch back up to the fifth wheel. Agree with you......
@ericm1430
@ericm1430 6 лет назад
With a trailer that heavy it takes so much power to get the fifth wheel under the trailer that by the time its under sometimes you slam the pin. It happens. not a 38,000 van. hook a 90,000lb load sometimes you bang the pin. I haul 85-93000 every single day i know the struggle lol
@gt3911
@gt3911 6 лет назад
Why did he disconnect the 5th wheel? I usually see them just reconnect the gooseneck to the trailer. For example another similar video from this channel titled "BEAUTIFUL KENWORTH T800 LOADING JOHN DEERE 850J "ROB" BULLDOZER - (Short Video Version)" Looks a very similar setup - quite curious why this guy had to disconnect at the 5th wheel?

How does it go over train tracks
@lllllRBlllll
@lllllRBlllll 7 лет назад
You mean for ground clearance? If it's an issue the trailer can be raised higher using the airbags to lift the back higher and the neck attachment can be adjusted to raise the front in the same way it picks it up off the ground to begin with.
