I just ordered this on Kickstarter; thank you for the clear explanation. I do have 2 questions: 1) Suppose an Earth tile is played on a stack of 3 existing tiles, and the player has an Earth understanding of 1, can they choose any tile in the stack to take? I'm guessing they can't take the tile they just placed on top. 2) At the end of the season, when removing the leftover tiles on the edges, are they placed back into the draw bag, or removed from the game? Thanks!

If for eg you have a red/fire piece which can collect 2 either side of it in the row and you have an understanding of 4 which allows you to pick up all 4 tiles are you allowed (as a strategy) to place that red fire piece at the edge or near the edge of the board thereby only allowing yourself to pick up say 3 or 2 other pieces (even though you haven enough "understanding" to pick up 4 pieces)? The scenario for this is assuming that row was full with pieces thereby if the red piece was placed in the middle it would have a potental 2 pieces each side to pick up.
