Here we go again, lol.
Another embarrassing vid, but with a few good lessons that I learned.
CBR (California Bicycle Racing) in Carson/Torrance in SoCal is super fun! Very fast laps and strong people, so make sure you bring your A-Game for sure!
I got dropped in this race, lol. Horrible feeling, but super humbling because I learned a lot in just those few minutes.
1: WARM UP!!!! I didn't warm up properly, and the cold air that morning caused me to wheeze, which then caused some coughing, which then caused my lungs to burn, which then caused me to get dropped!
2: Pack Riding. I'm terrible at it. I have yet to really learn how to maneuver around people on bikes, and how to move around a large group properly. It's in those tense moments when things can go great or go really awry. So it's a skill every cyclist should learn! Even if you're a loner like myself, lol.
3: We're all nervous and excited, but save it! Those nerves, tension, excitement needs to be kept as low as possible because you'll get gassed so fast that you won't have anything left towards the end!
4: Getting Dropped. It can and will happen to everyone. Happens to pro's all the time. You won't always have a good day, but the main thing is to keep the rubber down, and go home with your skin intact and your bike from getting destroyed (bike is the most important, we all know it, lol).
