Hi Pam! Try starting with the napkin face down, then your and place the pieces on it. No worries about the glue drying too quickly! They also make cute earrings😻
I made a little tool for sanding the curves. I moistened an inexpensive emery board from Dollar Tree (they frequently separate on their own) and cut lengthwise strips which can then be glued to a q-tip stem or a thin coffee stir stick. I also have a set of jewelers files which work great for curves, but I keep the emery board ones in my box of itty bitty paper craft tools.
Hi Pam, long time watcher from the UK, first time commenter! An easier method is burn off excess napkin, as long as glue is damp no damage and leaves brown scorched edge that saves inking! 💖
Good morning, Pam! These are brilliant! As half the JJ'ing world knows by now, I'm involved in a craft fair at church next month. I can see a set of these (maybe six to a pack) done on a Christmas puzzle (in theory the front side will be mostly red, green, and white) and make little ornaments. I also see larger kid-size puzzle pieces decorated on both sides, sealed with Mod Podge, and hung on a key chain. I remember Tina at Shabbydabbydoodah peeling the shiny paper off the front so she was left with two decorateable sides since the shiny side doesn't glue as well as the cardboard side. I'm off to have fun! Love and hugs, MK ♥️🤗🏜🤗♥️ Oh, and yay! It was 62 degrees here this morning and you can bet your bottom dollar that I put on my "Everything is a Craft Supply..." sweatshirt! Everyone loved it, said it was "so me". Hugs!
Mornin' Pam. Puzzle pieces are fun to play with. Sometimes I just leave them as is when the picture on them are pretty or suit your need. Also, they are layers of cardboard so I've found it's easy to peel the picture layer off and just use that when you want a thinner, flat piece to glue into your journals. (they can also look cool in a collage). TFS Regards to the menagerie and Papa too. Hope you all have a great day. 🌞
Great ideas thanks for sharing! I love reading the comments after watching the videos for this reason! Everyone has their unique ideas too. Thanks again
I enjoy your videos. You are a silly person and I think that is great. Creativity blossoms in your tutorials and I appreciate your attention to detail.
62 degree ice age! Lol!! Sunny cheers me up every time! I have 2 little guys just like him, we have to shovel paths in the snow in the yard for them to go out in the winter! Awesome ideas as usual Pam, thank you! ❤ 🐾
Love these puzzle pieces. Love all your videos. I started junk journaling watching your videos. To separate napkins though I just wet thumb and forefinger and grab in the corner. Open your fingers and it comes apart. That way the white layers don't tear and you can use them for other crafting/art journaling etc.
Love these ideas. I bought a puzzle box with a couple missing pieces at thrift store for couple bucks. Been needing extra ideas for how to use. Perfect timing!
Great idea! I will be grabbing my daughter and heading to the thrift store. I have seen boxes of pue pieces with a piece or two missing and never thought about using them like this.
I decorated some puzzle pieces for a swap once a long time ago. Just used patterned paper to cover them but napkin would have been easier, so thanks Pam. One thing I did to get the "innies" sanded was to take a small piece of light sandpaper and wrap it around a pen or a skewer and glue it. It got into the little nooks and crannies really well. I must go and see if I have any old puzzles left from grandkids-sitting days.
I just Love your channel. Your tutorials are fun and entertaining. I pretty much make everything that you teach. Thx for all your inspiration, and a little Sunshine at every end!! 🌻
LOL!!! I a year late to the party but youtube has finally decided to show via my feed your videos from 2-3 years ago!!! I have never seen them because I always give a thumbs up to those I have seen!!! Love your project .....I am presently working on a puzzle (my son bought me a set of 6 each 1000 pieces! that I would be ready to decorate them in a different way but alas! I won't! Winter has been very very cold and this puzzle - among other things - keep me occupied. I did however, learn something that puzzle pieces have different names!! I had to lol when the mower? started outside because it seems every time I want to watch your video, hubby decides to serenade me with his guitar and singing!!!! Take care and thanks for the great idea of using puzzles as decor!!!
Pam, I have been watching you for years , but never commented. I LOVE you and your videos. I have learned so very much with yout innovative techniques! Love Holly and cameos of Sunny. Please don't ever stop creating with reckless abandon. Hope your Holdays are the best ever!
Hi Miss Pam. Once again you have cheered me up to start my morning! I didn't think I was interested in doing puzzle pieces but you made it look so fun. I don't know if I have the patience to do the napkin glueing but I might give it a go if I end up finding loose pieces somewhere. I liked all the pieces but especially the dangly ones.
Same. Was going to donate it but now I'm doing this. It's a 250 price so got got lots to do. I'm new to junk journal so I'm looking at everything in a new way, including trash
I always love your dialogue as you do what you do, but today was exceptionally noisy and I so enjoyed your dialogue about that. So entertaining. 😂😂😂Yes I watched Maid but I can watch it again if thisis mandatory or something. Love the nostril Sunshine🤣I love these little puzzle pieces. Thanks for making me smile🙂
Hi Pam and Sunny... Hope your day is great. This is such a cute idea. Even tiny leftover pieces of napkins can be used. I agree, Sunny...62 is a bit chilly. So glad you have sweaters...I'll bet you look very smart in them. Do you have booties/boots? Have a marvelous day. God bless! 🙏🥰
I just made a bunch of puzzle pieces. No pretty napkins to use so dug into my stash and made some pretty cool pieces. My crop-a-Dile was easy to use for making holes. Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely gorgeous pieces!I'm rummaging straight away for my puzzle pieces!yes great clear out to find them!Thank you Pam for such a wonderful video and love to papa and Sunny xx
Finally something cute to do with puzzle pieces!! I know I have a few but I think I need to watch for a cheap 500 piece at yard sales so I can make a bunch of them. :)
Hey Pam! I’ve watched for several years but I finally got the chance to pick up a bottle of Fabri-fix! Why didn’t I make a special trip to get this stuff? No more wrinkles in my pages! It’s a winner!
Love these! I received my Fundle and was very pleasantly surprised there was so much! I hate the thought of cutting, folding or tearing the old pieces apart. There was a dictionary page with my last name and a beautiful Princess Diana and baby William that I don't know what to do with. So many beautiful pages and oh can we talk about the old paper smell! Love my Fundle and will certainly be buying another!
Pam, I was just looking at some old puzzle pieces wondering what could be done with them....then this video shows up!!! Perfect timing!!!!! Love the dangle tab!!!!
Poor Sunny! Mom is turning you into a pupsicle! Pam, thanks for showing us how to use napkins on jig saw puzzle pieces. It seems rather tedious but I’m gonna give it a try! Love to all🥰
I think you must have read my mind... I was playing around with some puzzle pieces the other day and was wondering if you had any videos on them. I made 2 but I didn't like how they turned out,, but I like the napkin idea! I love decoupage but I don't love the warpies. With Puzzle pieces, there's no worry of that!. Off I go to play...
Just love watching all your videos. Whatever you do is always fun. Sunshine is so cute, makes me miss my little dog, Tina, who went to doggie heaven 11 years ago. She was our baby.
Hello Pam, cute puzzle pieces, I made some many moons ago when I first started mixed media. Sunshine, my two felines have their own chenille blankets on my bed so when they feel cold, they snuggle themselves in their blankets. TFS
If you do the Diamond Art paintings the tool that comes with them will probably work for the rhinestones placing.. but I'm like you Pam.. I use my licked finger most of the time lol 🤣😛🙃
Good morning Pam😊 Wow 62 degrees sound awesome! Really cool puzzle project, I do have a die cut for puzzle pieces maybe time to have a play. 🤗💕 Stay warm Sunny! 🥰
Great idea, Pam! I also use the puzzle box itself. I cut out the pictures on front and sides. Also, the bottom box is thin chipboard which can be glue in layers fir the thickness you want. Pretty good deal for 25 or 50 cents! And if you find a puzzle with the extra poster inside.... woo hoo!
These are gorgeous! And will make earrings with mine. I planned on a couple of weeks ago after seeing a bracelet and earrings and that video was great too and your video is the icing on that idea ! Thank you for the extras stuff you do and your camera close up are great! I'm so thankful for you and your. Video 's and Styff we can purchase!! One Awesome Lady!! Love to you and 👪 family! Sunny indeed too!
Pam have you tried using a water brush? It holds a reservoir of water with a clear brush at the end. I love your ideas and had been eyeing a puzzle box. Now I know what to do. Thanks
Hi Pam, I bought two puzzles in wooden boxes at the thrift store a month or so ago. One is a scene from Frozen, and can't remember what the other one is, but I saved the pieces. Really got them for the cool wooden boxes with slide off lids! They really are very cool. I put stamp pads in them. The puzzle pieces are kind of large, so not sure they would fit well in a journal. I think I'll try doing this with them anyway. At the least, maybe can decorate the cover of a journal with them somehow? Thank you for the video, which was fun, as usual. Oh poor little Sunny! He could be a pupsickle! My late aunt and uncle used to have a toy Boston Terrier named Susie Wong. Susie had coats, and boots and even little hats for her walks here in northern NY. So dang adorable!
For the larger puzzle pieces maybe turn them into gift tags. Decorate the front, on the back write/stamp To: From: and punch a hole in a corner and add a loop of thread or ribbon?
Hi Pam!! I was wondering why not turn the napkin over after u glue the napkin 2 the pieces. By using the q-tip on the other side u will be able 2 see the innies & outies. Since u can see the piece it would ve easier & go faster. Just a thought.
Good morning Pam and Sunny. It indeed is sweater weather up here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan! 35 degrees right now and windy, so it feels like 20s. Brrr.
