Geoffrey's siblings gets the good from jamie while Geoffrey his viciousness from tywin and cercei. Of course tyrion loves tomen and myrsella because they are more of his brother who loves him truly while Geoffrey is as monstrous as you know who
Agreed, Joffery could actually afford to be as cruel and evil as he was, if he had just listened to Cersei and Tywin more he maybe wouldn’t have died. The main reason Olenna kills him is because he’s incompetent and cruel, if you take one of those away and add a Margery that actually might’ve been a pretty strong marriage that would’ve held the realm together.
I dont think he would've acted nicer if he was raised differently. I believe his character is supposed to be a psychopath. He was emotionally retarded from the beginning
Sansa in kings landing was literally manipulated like Theon. I'm not talking about their sufferings but saying that... While knowing the truth they just admitted what was not true like Sansa admitting her father was a traitor but she was terrified so she admitted that or else she would be punished and Theon admitting that he is "Reek" Not Theon. But at last they became normal
That's what I've been saying ever since the first season! She did not deserve the hate. She was a child, a princess raised to like pricessy and girly things. Nothing worng with that! If anyone of us had been thrown into the lion's den, we would die. She did anything she could beside the outward violence, which would kill her anyway.

It was the day that, upon finding out, that he was, indeed, dead, that those who had suffered under his cruel hand, rejoiced at the news of his extremely sudden demise!
Joffrey was such a jerk, even when he was dying, I bet he could feel himself burning in hell. When people found out he was dead, they were so happy because he was so mean to them.
God I love Tyrion at this point. He was so witty in the earlier seasons. And he had so much love in him. He really feels like a loving uncle to both of Joffrey’s not insane siblings. That just reminds me of something else the show runners just gave up on though. Joffrey’s sister is sent to Dorn and in the show they just gave up on Dorn entirely, and even killed her off. Such a dumb plotline that went nowhere. It’s so much cooler in the books that it makes Dorn actually feel like an entire kingdom.

Joffrey had been a Lannister under the influence of Tyrion, Cersei, Jamie and Tywin, yet he was a bloody psychopath rather than a shrewd politician or a brave warrior.
My take, from his expression, It hurt him a little to see that. I mean it was her way of survival, a means to get through. But he is a man who builds himself of staying true to his identity, no matter how cunning, his own honour. He understood that Sansa was saying what she had to to survive, or failing that was so under their influence that she'd at least stay alive a little longer.
Of course it hurt him he is the only smart one out of these people who only react to circumstances instead of being the one to make the moves likely he knew stark was a good and honorable man but far to smart for the rulers to let live
He was in such a good mood. You never see that. Then sansa responds, and the stark difference (no pun intended) between them brings him back to reality about how the world functions. Very interesting scene.
As if that line is masterpiece? Is every GOT fan has perfect understanding in Writing and cenematography. People who blame season 8 need to chill down. These are the same people who watch reality shows and use TikTok.

However it’s important to note that their risk of dying was far less than the average soldier. For one, they had good armor so they were less likely to take a stray killing hit. And even more importantly, they often looked like kings on the battlefield. This meant that the enemy was more likely to try to capture the king than to kill him like they might a regular soldier. Then they could sell the king back to his own country for a hefty profit or better terms in a peace treaty. Nobles also received this same treatment of being kidnapped rather than killed in war. I mean this show even did it with Jaime. Look at all the trouble the Starks went through to capture him when they could’ve just killed him. They knew they’d have more leverage over the Lannisters with Jaime in custody

I had a lot of respect for Tyrion in the first few seasons. He was quippy and sharp, yes, but also sympathetic and caring at the same time, as evidenced by how he approached Sansa.

HE WAS FORCED to inherit the crown and was constantly manipulated by those close to him, there was literally no one he had who was trustworthy, he was a terrible king but thats bc he never had the courage or determination to be one, especially the fact that he was a kid besides Joffrey who was built for the crown

Looking back, I really never realized just how smart Sansa became when it came to keeping her head on her shoulders and not on a spit. Her story arch is probably one of my favorites. Such satisfying revenge for her with Peter Bailish, Ramsay. She used to be my least favorite character but once her direction changed, she is def one of my favorites 💜
I think that was the point. In the books, she is presented as the reader/ audience POV. And through her chapters, the blinkers of honorable knights and lady clichés are slowly torn down and you're shown how dangerous the world is and the cunning required to survive by its rules.
I love how the men all walked with him They fought side by side . Been good if all those men were kind of then loyal to him and him alone . like his own army .
I like that everyone in the Lannister family hated Tyrion - and he them - apart from his brother and two of his nephews. You can see that he truly cares for Myrcella
Honorable and charismatic, someone who can steal the throne at any moment just but the loyalty he makes with those he meets, definitely someone you want on your side

That actually a pretty common rumor that spread about the actor’s experience with people who’ve seen him or recognized him on the street. The actor, Jack Gleeson, has openly stated that he’s never had a bad experience with fans of the show. He’s only ever had positive interactions with fans.
I actually asked him about that when I met him in Dec..... He said people aren't mean to him at all....though they do often mention how much they hated Joffrey! He had been acting since he was a kid and he made a bunch of money with Game of Thrones so he thought it was time to chill and go to college.... He just got recently married too!

Out of all the people Joffrey could’ve married her off to, I’m glad it was Tyrion. Tyrion was kind to her and never harmed her in any way or tried to take advantage of her. He was gentle with her feelings and cared about her well being. He loved her in a wholesome, non physical way. I wish her second husband would’ve been as honorable.
Tyrion loved his other neice and nephew. He would have also loved Joffery too if it wasn't for the fact he was raised by his Morther and was already mad. Dang a den of lions and only the Imp lion seemed better then the beautiful lions.

Jeffrey was just a boy, he wasn’t strong or smart, just despicable but incapable of being a king, even Cersei started to realise his problems. I think she was semi glad when Joffrey died because then her younger son could become king and he was actually a decent king but of course Cersei could control him easier but he had a good heart and didn’t know how to punish. So to me Ramsay was a better villain by far
Tyrion used to slap that boy with no consequence but when Cersei slapped him once in the throne room, he practically threatened to kill her… Tyrion didn’t even lose a hand😅
He is so loving whenever he talks to the kids. His worst curse wasn't killing his mother at birth - it was loving all his family members long after that till the very end.

Sansa is just the stark version of cersei would love to see a series where she's the enemy maybe years down the line causing terror cause she got drunk on power.
I kinda think she already was somewhat corrupted in s7 and 8 what with her being so rude to Dany. Maybe I'm just biased though. A thing to remember that the Wolves might have been the heroes in this story but their allegiance can change like the wind when they're hungry.

More insecurity since she finally managed to find her way back home North at Winterfell and as leader, finally had a Stark family member as leader, and she did not want that to be compromised again, with Khaleesi being the greatest threat that might cause that
I always though season 2 was boring until the end but Joffrey and Tyrion's convos were the best. Plus the the finale was so much better than I remembered after watching so recently
