How is a disappointment boruto is still getting stronger and just found out one of his jougan abilities not to long ago so we still don't know what he can do and with all what happened on the 1st episode of Boruto we can see some crucial stuff has happened
Jaede panda byakugan or however you spell it naturally hits vital chakra points. goten has no chakra. also if he even got hit by a move like byakugan with how fast goten is, i'd be surprised
The byakugan also alow to hit directly internal organs like the heart. And with his clones, the subsitution jutsu and the almost 360° vision of his byakugan, he might would have been able to create an opening (so it would be very dificult).
Yoann Belleville i forgot about that. i guess boruto might have a slim chance even if boruto doesn't really have the heart to kill and goten can either power up and blow him back with his clones, fly (but i think byakugan prevents physical movement) or instant transmission.

Except the difference here is that one is a side character who is less interesting than the MCs but is rather charming while the other is an angsty MC who is easily outclassed by his supporting cast in terms of character

The characters on DB are OP but to be fair they are OP after training and lot of it, that way is better, they get stronger, new attack and forms, through training instead of out of the blue or because they are special or the protagonist, and even with that they can lose.

This means that Goten as a Super Saiyan is at least as strong as base Gohan. This same Gohan who could take on any of the Androids in base at this point in DBZ. Thus, Goten is at least a star buster, due to the Androids being superior to Frieza, who performed a star level feat (in base) when he destroyed planet Vegeta.
