DubNation what are you talking about? When’s the last time you’ve watched the sharks battle a fellow cali team in the playoffs bud? San Jose’s rivalry with LA will never surpass the freeway faceoff
If everyone keeps fighting the game would eventually end, because if a player is involved in 2 fights in 1 game he is ejected from the game, so as soon as there aren’t enough eligible players the game would end
calboy seseman fighting is apart of the game and it will never leave it prevents players taking cheapshots on other players and 98% of players voted to keep it in the game, it also gets everyone on the team fired up, go watch soccer if fighting offends you
calboy seseman I most certainly am not looking for fights, yea there fun to watch but I would 100% still love and watch the game of hockey without fighting
calboy seseman, you're definitely not old enough to even comprehend the importance and past frequency in NHL fights, especially if you think "trolling the opponent" is a bigger hockey trait than fighting.
calboy seseman, you're honestly an idiot if you think only fake "hockey fans" like fights, because if you weren't aware fight was much, MUCH more frequent back before the 00s. You weren't alive then, but fighting and toughness was the #1 priority for some time aswell. That's how teams like the mid-70s Flyers won the Cup. Fighting in the NHL is the biggest thing besides goals and saves. Fighting in hockey is a stereotype. Sure non-Hockey fans will like Hockey fights, but NHL fans love them just as much, and even more sometimes. Especially since it has become a rare occurrence. Everything you're describing what "the NHL really is about", is the most modern description of Hockey I have ever seen, except worse some how. Fighting in Hockey, unless removed or enforced against, will forever remain a very important part of the game, and has a very large history and code around the need of fighting. I'd like to see what you have so say about "Trolling the opponent", which is literally a Jens 95 video title, if you even read this far.
You're right, but there's a ton of older hockey fans that can't stand the visors. My dad will complain about it every time I go watch a game with him. Says it completely ruins the fighting.
Sean Stephenson Because that's a rivalry, an eastern conference team vs a western conference team. I mean they play a whole two games against each other every single year!
In times gone by this would have been a line brawl, but in today's NHL it would be two fighting majors and four game misconducts, so instead we get this.
HEAR THE ATMOSPHERE WHEN THE FIGHTS START. Hockey is a decent sport without fighting but this makes it the most interesting and greatest sport in the world.
This episode warmed by heart; it reminded me of the good ol' days. I'm a NorCal Sharks fan and hate these two teams, but I am starting to like them because of their physical play.
I was there, awesome game Ducks won and i got in a fight with a Kings fan who tried to sucker punch me while i was pissing at the urinal, wild night at the former staples center, guy was drunk so made quick work. Quack Quack Quack!
