everybody's saying that Anderson was "way out of the crease" when in reality, He was out but just BARELY, and when you're A goalie that's what you do half the time. Come at me sour penguin fans, come at me.
Boy, the Penguins are really trying to ruin some team's Stanley Cup chances.. First Methot with the Senators, now Andersen with the Leafs.. Knock it off, Pens!
this Crosby slash that ruptured his figure. it happens every game yes it was a two handed chop which no one's like. if that hits him anywhere else on glove that doesn't happen.
Zero Cool Why would there even be talk of a suspension? He in now way shape or form meant to hit him, Anderson was out of his crease as well. Sucks that he got hit but you're crazy if you think this was dirty or intentional. It looked very mild so hopefully Anderson is fine and he shakes it off.
Don Cherry was so pissed off after the game talking about that hit, he was basically saying the Leafs' players should have pummeled Sestito with blows ... but not in so many words because he is more careful now, no complaints about him asking violence on the ice, no way. :-)
Ahhhhh. It's refreshing seeing all those comments of those who spoke too soon. This will be a great experience even if we are eliminated in the first round. Leafs are back!
Couldn't make out the ref's announcement of the penalty... did Sestito get a minor or a major? He probably should have gotten a major penalty and game misconduct: see rules 56.4 and 69.2.
lol sestito wasn't trying to make any contact. Anderson was out of his crease and sestito was trying to take away his vision for a second. Sestito had to squeeze in between the defenseman and goalie
Not even a huge fan of the Leafs but man, Tom Sestito isn't even an enforcer, he is just a goon who wants to cause havoc. Toronto would've likely gotten smoked by Washington anyway, but now that series won't even be fun to watch. Hopefully he's back by the playoffs.
Andersen shouldn't of been a foot out of the crease, it wasn't targeted and he sure didn't lean into him. Don't really know how people could say it should be a suspension either, it was an unfortunate collision fighting for a scoring chance. Nothing more. Anyways, hope he's fine. Toronto needs him.
all these salty fans that hate the pens lmao. sestito didn't even go through the blue paint lol. sestito just doin his job getting in front of blue paint to screen the goalie
Tom Sestito is a dirty player, but I think this was an accident. However, the bigger concern for Leafs fans is how long will Andersen be out.Hope he comes back soon, and if not,you probbably have Sparks play over McElhinney
Mac>Freddy. We would have lost if he stayed in net probably. He's a wall but he can't move laterally or recover quick enough like machilleney did on Crosby.
Aesthetic JB You're not very bright, Mcelhinney struggles at lateral movement and positioning, Andersen has great lateral mobility... Look at the goal mcelhinney gave up against Crosby
For fucks sakes!!! I'm a Ducks fan and a fan of Freddie's. I'm pulling for the Leafs because of my buddy who lives in Canada, and this right here probably ruined their chances.
If it was anyone else on the Penguins I would of said they were going hard to the net to screen Freddy but knowing it's Sestito I just can't believe that.
i just think it's bullshit that if you high-stick someone and they leak you get 4 minutes, and if you take the goalie out of the game with a headshot you can get away with 2
Unfortunate play, but nothing dirty or intentional there at all, if anything Anderson bumped him lmao but in all seriousness hope he's alright Toronto needs him
Sestito is such a P.O.S. I can tell this particular hit was an accident but he's had so many hits that WERENT accidents, I just have no respect for the guy. Can't wait til the Pens get rid of him. Ugh. Toronto deserved the win tonight and I hope their goalie is okay.
Brutal hit? Major hit? Give me a break.. If that was any other goalie in the league that's not even a highlight clip.. Toronto center of the universe though right.
There needs to be a new rule. If you injure the opposing teams starting goalie not only do you receive a penalty but your starting goalie gets pulled as well
@@amazingtoad7244 bro 36 to 40 inches out ..... you need love thumb up is from me love and respect from Québec Canada 💪🇨🇦👍 outside the blue à normal player . A player need to protect himself all the time 1+1 =2 toad i am 43 saw a LOT of hockey games but i love you bro take care . You want to talk, dont hesitate .
I hate Sestito and im pens fan but that wasn't anywhere like hit to the head.. His big ass just screved the head but you cant call it as "hit to the head".
@@amazingtoad7244 Your attitude is why goalies still believe they can have the best of all worlds. Or perhaps... If a goalie commits a 'Major' he gets to sit in the Sin Bin. Five long minutes of watching all sorts of things happening while he stews and fumes. How far is too far to extend the goalie's DMZ?
Wasn't really a dirty play. Deserves a penalty, but really that's all. Puck is going to the net, player tries to jump to not block it, hits Andersen in the head while Andersen is out of his paint.
I don't get it, it was very mild for one, and two he's out of his crease and looks to be unintentional. I guess you have to hand out a penalty for the sake of it but why did he seem to be so shaken up by it? It honesty looks like an extremely mild hit of a padded leg to the head.
Any hit to the head can rattle the brain, but this is the 3rd time in the last 7 games Anderson has played that he had to leave mid-game after taking a shot to the head........and every time it happens, make it just that much more likely that he will suffer an injury the next time
He has had a history of concussion problems, the first concussion he had in the NHL I believe was when he took a Shea Weber slap shot to the head while he was playing for Anaheim, and the frequency of his concussions is only going up... Hopefully he can catch a break and stay healthy for a while.
Any hit to the head, whether it be hard, mild or soft can do potential damage and also the way he jolted his neck that quickly to the side like that definitely pulled something. Force of impact isn't always a factor, a lot of the time, it's how you moved or jolted the wrong way.
