You could tell when Toronto scored they thought they had won the game. With ten minutes left I knew the Bruins would score and tie the game. Again, the look of defeat on the Toronto players was clear. The last five minutes of the game they were just dumping it out and not even trying. Then to see a set play like that and Pasta blows past Marner and four other Leafs players is just criminal. Unreal this is how the game and series ended, but you could see this coming from the time Boston tied it.

Even moreso because it's one of the things that the Leafs aren't capable of -- creating offense from the blueline. Because they're overcommitted to the big 4 they have to cheap out on D so any offense from the D is almost accidental. And they get eliminated by a defenseman creating a scoring chance.

@@johnholmes8919 Pasta wasn't Nylanders man, and Nylander is a forward. Reilly was standing still in the center of the zone when the puck got dumped in, and Marner was puck watching turning his back to his man, the most dangerous bruin on the ice. That goal is on those 2 only

Lmao, it's not his space to cover. Rielly is missjudging and standing on his heels. Marner being ahead of Pastrnak would just give extra space for Bruins to push on that side by bringing up a d-men. Honestly, anyone who believes this is Marners fault have either not played hockey or doesn't know anything about it. Until the dump is made Marner is at the right place. The bank off the corner boards was intentional. The puck carrier waited till he crossed the red line so it wouldn’t be icing. The goal scorer from blue line to blue line is skating cross overs to produce max speed when he enters the zone. The dump in is timed perfectly. The Leafs defender is anticipating pass so he’s flat footed entering the zone so as soon as it’s dumped in he’s beat. Great play.

That's why I love saying that Montreal have a better team than Toronto... Montreal had 1 all star in the net , finished 23rd , made the playoff because of covid , won the qualification round and made it to the stanley cup final... with a team being 23rd. This team... got 4 all stars , finished 10th , and gets eliminated in the first round because only 1 star showed up. And I'm not taking about Mr 69. (1 goal in 5 games , that's a 16 goals season)

Say it all you want, doesn’t make it true, leaf’s sucked in the playoffs hard the first 4 games. Only reason Boston didn’t sweep was because they somehow lost one when Sammy couldn’t be selling goals harder if he tried. Ours coaches suck, we ride off the raw talent of individual offense-men rather than teamwork. But we’re still a whole league(literately) better than the Habs

Hell, with 1 star in the net we got 13 playoff wins... a year we probably won't ever forget for how great it was.

Pasternak is a deadly sniper. He may score to anyone. Boston will be an easy kill for Bobrovsky team anyway.
