Jack Hughes showed why he was the first overall pick in 2019 with an absolutely filthy overtime winner for the New Jersey Devils, deking out Kevin Lankinen to score.
Haha! I love how Hughes politely let the fans know he was gonna throw his stick into the stands before he actually did. I like this kid and hope this is his breakout year.
I can't remember the last time there was this much hype across the league for hockey to return. It's just opening games but it's playoff energy. The amount of fights in the preseason, were insane
What a great goal. Jack Hughes play style is very similar to Kane. Was great watching them both battle tonight. New Jersey has a true franchise center man to build around
Bob Bob been saying this since the day we drafted Nico. Toews/Kane 2.0 but 1B is disrespectful and just not correct anymore. Without Nico Hall wouldn't have won MVP, Hall said it himself. Just like a great goalie tandem Jack and Nico are considered equal, some matchups just work better in their favor than others. But idc what people call Nico really, he wants to win as much as anyone in this league. LGD! 70+ point incoming from Hughes, been saying it all summer.
Weird game from Hughes but even he said it himself. He thought it was an average game for him and his line despite him scoring 2 goals and have 6 takeaways. Glad that this guy recognizes he can get better even with an offensive game like this.
@@willihv24 I may be a bit biased with saying it’s the GOAT lmao but top 10 is definitely possible. The question is who the hell wants to put the ranking together
I hadn't seen anyone call him a bust yet. If they did they got way ahead of themselves. Now as for busts I can't believe how young Hischier is still but the thing is with the amount of seasons he has in eh if he doesn't start putting 70 points up while still playing a good two way game he will sooner than later be called a bust.
@@DeViLzzz2006 the problem no player should be called a bust after there first season, there are players in the hall that scored less then 20 points there rookie season, but later played many years and had more then 1k points, going from the minors or even college to nhl is a big step up give them a few years not everyone is going to score 76 there first season, that happened once and i can tell you is not happening again
Sick goal, Slick Celebration!! Top 3 Celly's not up for discussion: 1. Selanne throwing his glove into the air and shooting it down with his stick. 2. Jack Hughes with the stick toss to the fans after the OT winner. 3. Theo Fleury with the wacky celly after scoring the OT winner vs the Oilers.
Hughes does resemble Kane, just like Daneyko said. That's why Kane stopped playing and watched him score, it was like looking in a mirror, he couldn't help himself.
