A "Rock'n'Roll Pinball" which i repaired for a real metalhead. He had this classic Gottlieb EM Game in his garage for decades. As always: It's not working - he told me. So i did the job a few years ago (we have already 05/2023) and since then "King Rock" is working fine. This machine can drive you crazy. It doesn't matter if you are a good and advanced player...average ball game time is very short and it's hard to handle the silverball because of this beasty four flippers. And this wide opened two outlanes. All in all a cool game from an era long ago - but never forgotten! Greetings from germany.

Great machine and I like the tank on the wall. Panzer ? The pool hall I used to go to with my good friend Mitch in San Carlos, CA used to have one and that was in 1972. It was a very challenging game but very fun to play. It was the King Kool machine which I think is the 2 player version. You'll enjoy the machine much more when you get the chimes working. Thanks for sharing this. Great memories.

I like the stories from guys who met this machines back in the early 1970s on location. It is hard to imagine how this was because for a lot of people this icons are "boring" today. I never understood why. I "grew up with pinball" within the EE-era late 70s and early 80s...never stopped rockin the silverball until today. As i wrote before: this machine has no chime unit - like 90 % of the Gottlieb EM games here in germany. And yes: this is a "Deutscher Panzer". Not sure if this is a World War 2 model or if this is a "Leopard 2". I shot this video at a good friend of mine.

Chimes unplugged

It would be fine if the chime unit would be unplugged. But there is no Chime Unit in this machine. Sadly - but it is almost impossible to find a original fitted Chime Unit in a Gottlieb EM Pinball which was built for the german market. Reason why? The pub owners ("Kneipenwirte") hated the "noise" and forced the operators to keep it out. As far as i heard only Williams let the Chime Units in their machines which travelled to germany. You can find them regularly. Bally and Gottlieb: no chance....

As we say in the United States, you can have a cigarette or a drink in the time it takes your cameraman to show the game being played instead of the wheels turning the score which we’ve seen 1 million times
