I don't agree with John Kasich on everything but he is a decent Republican.

If John Kasich was the GOP nominee in 2016, I’d could have voted for him. It’s a shame that Americans today don’t want the plain, stable and steady hand at the wheel, they want Evel Knievel (who was known more for his crashes than successes). Our country has grown grossly immature.

Kasich is impressive. He comes across like a fair minded man. He is one of the few Republicans that has stood up bravely against Trump and that alone makes him one of the very few intelligent potential leaders in the Republican Party.

Whatever the circumstances, respect to John Kasich. Why is cross party interaction so verboten?

I was a lifelong Republican up until we nominated Pumpkinhead for President. I left the party after that and held my nose and voted for Hillary. If Kasich had won the primary, and became President, I think our country would have been better off than with either Hillary or Trump and I might still be Republican. lol. They are both such polarizing figures that the other party can't stand. Kasich truly is one of the few that works across the aisle with the other party, and that is something we need desperately in order to get out of this mess.

I always liked Kasich . He's a voice of reason. We need more like him.

Don’t forget Kasich was Governor when he avoided the Trump RNC in Cleveland. He was right even then!

Kasich deserves far more credit than he gets... I commend anyone who's willing to walk their own path. ... and yes... I would have voted for him over Trump or Hillary any day.

I agree ☝️ Trump and Fox News, rabid Facebook posts as well and their labeling of Democrats is what screwed up the family and neighborly dynamics. With Trump choosing to degrade one whole voting block it gives the other group the feeling they have extreme power and makes them say things they would never ever say. Trump got us here ultimately. As a Michiganian, I was seriously hoping Kasich would have won the Republican Primary when he ran, and voting for him in the election despite him being from the evil state of Ohio. Alas. He didn't say enough stupid, outrageous, and thus press-gathering things to get through the Republican Primary.

We need more like Kasick in Congress, then the US will be a much better place.

I get scared and don’t feel comfortable putting myself out there anymore. ‘Fellowshipping’ on the internet, or for that matter, anywhere, has not been a good or prosperous experience for me and has left me feeling like why bother to say anything at all. That said, I do think Bill Maher is right that a lot of people may be underestimating the seriousness of this present political situation. I mean, “Heads I win, tails you lose” (it’s rigged if I don’t win) says it all. Those are the words of a dictator wanna be. I believe everything I posted before and those concerns and uneasiness are always on my mind at this time and have been since DT came onto the political scene and became President. I’ll be voting for the Biden/Harris ticket. Think they will do a great job and will be a huge sigh of relief from the tension and stress of the last 4 years. If we can just get them in and DT out without a major incident for the sake of our welfare as well as his. I am concerned about what he may try to do next. In this episode, when Bill was talking with his two guests about the people who live in poverty and how the democrats aren't talking about them...how is it that none of these guys brought up the fact that Biden is promising to bring the minimum wage up to $15 an hour everywhere...that in itself will change people's lives...it's a liveable wage and it's definitely going to make a huge difference...that should be highlighted alot more so that these people will vote for Biden.

I read Kasich book but no ideas of how to build a bridge with a friend or family refuses to even GOOGLE their statement and then go through all the resources back it up or tear it down. And just tiny things they choose to lie about. And then when I said let’s just look it up instead of arguing so we have the same set of facts. And they refused to do any research or allow me to do it. What can you do with a person like that? Something simple like the plant-based burgers, the neighbor told me it has the highest amount Of cholesterol is so unhealthy than red meat. I said no that can’t be. And I pull the burger patties out of my freezer and it showed it has zero cholesterol. And the neighbor said the label is false! They’re lying to you. And then I pulled up on the Internet, look if a company lies on the labels the FDA destroys the company. There are so many label regulations federal, and state wide. So let’s say you’re right. And the plant based burger is high in cholesterol. And the label is false with the ingredients listed and the nutrition value. McDonald’s is starting to serve these across the world. You don’t think they did any research? They would lose billions of dollars a month if they chose to go along with the lie because everyone is found out when they lie. That did not persuade the neighbor at all. I said OK let’s file A complaint with the state health department, I research which department you contact about false labeling. There are two. Weights and measures and health department. So I showed the online form. You put the lot number and company name and scan the label. And email it in. But also you have to present evidence that the label is false. So I am waiting for guy to present that. Do you have any medical documents that show your cholesterol level went higher because you consume this product only. You didn’t eat anything else except this product. And you have a lab that tested this product for its true content? We can request the state to do it. After 32 days I receive the dept info. The label is correct and accurate as is. I show the neighbor the outcome. Neighbor, I never ate the product. I will never eat these vegetarian burgers. I only eat red meat and my cholesterol level is very high. And that will make it higher. I don’t need to eat it or know about it to know that this stuff is bad for my health. And all health departments cannot be trusted they are all paid off by the company and it’s all a big conspiracy against all Americans. How can I go along with Governor Kasich and tolerate a person like this. A person freely choosing to be ignorant. I avoid the guy. That’s not tolerating him. That is a microcosm is what is happening across the nation. We just avoid one another. I can’t even speak to a Trump worshiper about saving the national parks! A good friend loves to hunt animals when it is hunting season in the national park but does not care that it is being destroyed and open for oil drilling. Because of Donald Trump! He replied,Well I was happy to use the national park while I could. All good things must end… Blind allegiance. I’ve only found Democrats criticize their political party leaders when they do bad things. But I never hear it from the right. And that’s very radical.

The last two minutes or so were some really good conversation. The whole thing was good. But tge last bit is important.

Although Kasich is a lot more conservative than I would like and I'm not affiliated with a party(though lean Democratic, for sure), I was hoping he would've been a more solid choice in 2016. But in the end, I was one of loads of people that felt I had to choose what I thought was the lesser of two evils in order to at least avoid Trump. And that didn't work anyway. Now I see I had some good instincts about Kasich. Just set aside parties and do what's right. We need more grown ups willing to compromise and "reach across the aisle" , especially with Republicans in politics.

I wanted John Kasich to win so bad back in 2016. He's a great example of a classic Republican

Kasich is pure Ohio, despite his Western Penn origin. Sensible, flexible, frugal, fair, and blunt. When first in office as Governor, he refused to move into the mansion for him. He kept his home in Westerville. Saw a lot of lights on at gov't buildings after 5 on a weekend, and he mandated the lights go off to save money. He is for the people.

I was never concerned about my neighbor's political choices until Trump. I can understand preferring Bush over Obama. Different Strokes, but both are reasonable and decent men. Trump is a hater, womanizer, con man who has no redeeming characteristics. It sickens me that anyone would think him a good representative for this country. No, if you have a TRUMP sign in your front yard we will never be friends.
