Warren and Sonny Landreth team up on a great rendition of Dreams Their styles so different but blend and contrast so well And of course, the fifth Beatle... Ron Holloway
WOW!!!!!(🍄)..Some serious chops on a true classic...Ron is a beast on sax & I had a bit of a flashback when Sonny played slide..Dreams has been my favorite song since I was 12..LOL...I'm 65 & it still is🍑
@@davedawave4705 That's the director's job. Shooters just operate equipment. This problem is squarely upon the director. Or director of photography, if they have one. Someone should be talking in the camera man's ear, like they do in a football game.
I was at this show. The guy that films is at every island exodus show. He basically stands there with a monopod on throughout all the shows. The version of Death Letter, Warren and Sonny did literally melted my face. Spectacular
what is up with the videographer that when Sonny Landreth is cranking on the Slide, the camera focuses on the rhythm guitarist playing gently in the background? i see this often on videos, it's like they aren't aware of how to pan properly. just my opinion, or is there something to my instincts?
oh my, Tony you called my bluff if i was venting towards the actual videographer! i've just noticed for years when watching concerts that my distinct feeling was the filmer was not a musician. i mean, 3 musicians playing, the camera focuses on say the guitarist who's comping in the background, while the camera ignores the guy running hot over there on the violin or something. anyway, thx for the response!
That's really insightful. I am interested in doing some video so I checked your channel hoping to see something better But you have no video just stupid comments Scroll on loser
You can tell Warren is not into the crap Sonny Landreth is playing on slide and the camera man picked up on it too. sonny is greedy and can't play tastefully.
Warren Haynes is a very good guitar player and has done a great job of helping the Allman Brothers remain relevant, but Sonny Landreth is evolutionary, revolutionary and tranformational. He hasn't just rewritten the slide-guitar rulebook, he has shredded it and set it on fire ! And crazy as the very idea may seem right now, someday somebody else will come along and rewrite the book yet again ..thats how art is supposed to work!
