All you need is 1) Low-top slim sneakers (Goes well with shorts & summertime) 2) A Mid-top chunky sneaker (Goes well with most casual pants) 3) Boots (Goes well with most casual pants & for rougher weather) 4) Dress Shoes (Goes with formal attire for fancy events obviously) Get colors that are a similar or same shade of pants you own.
My personal core rotation took years to save for and assemble. They are as follows: 1) Allen Edmonds Strands in Walnut 2) Alden Longwing Bluchers 3) Vintage Florsheim plain toe Bluchers 4) White’s MP Sherman Boots 5) New Balance 993
ASICS gel lyte 3 gets very little love in the “all time classic sneakers” convo. They’ve so versatile, generally very affordable, and come in a variety of atypical color ways. Not to mention 1000x more comfortable than af1’s or chucks. After years of buying over priced, over saturated jordans (no disrespect to Jordan fans), the ASICS gel lyte 3 has become my go to signature shoe.
My shoe collection only expanded beyond a daily loafer/sneaker plus a rare dress shoe for special outings when I started being more active. Once you start branching into jogging, gym, trail running etc the shoe collection explodes.
Yeah or just sports in general, I used to just have a pair of blundstones but now I have a pair of runners, squat/deadlift shoe, basketball shoe, rock climbing shoe, and golf shoe
actually agree with this (given were talking about the 1460, not the 1461) although i have a lot more shoes since i skate and therefore need like a new pair of skate shoes every so often
@@timj6897 you can replace loafer with any type of casual slipper. I think it’s enjoyable to have a slipper/slide/moccasin/loafer for lounging around the house and chilling outside.
My everyday shoe is a leather Converse hightop. It goes with everything and looks good. For a slightly upgraded look, I wear a casual Chelsea boot with a chunky sole.
0:10 every FASHION situation right? So if we're talking absolute essentials there should be a 6th: sports. Sneakers are cool, but nothing beats a good pair of performance sports shoes.
I was on the same boat for years, still kinda am. My podiatrist suggested Asics shoes which have options for feet that's broad at the front. I've never walked more comfortably.
For boot check out the Mexican company called " Luxxe Mx" they sell boots in the styles of saint laurent, celine, etc for a fraction of the price but amazing quality
"boots can be a little bit pricier, this for example can be around 400€" Wow man, i consider a shoe expensive if it is more than 100€... 400€ for a pair of boots is just unreachable for 95% of people out there
But... a $400 boot is gonna have a good thick leather and a Goodyear welt, so the leather’s gonna age like a fine wine and you can resole it a dozen times. You’re talking a twenty-year boot.
@@marktroup2978 ah come on, we’ve all seen that old boot story that encapsulates the plight of the lower-class individual - the wealthy man is able to afford that $400 purchase and won’t have to buy new ones for years. the poorer one has to get a cheaper pair of boots or whatever since they can’t validate that expensive purchase but will eventually spend more since theirs break down. i think the sentiment here is generally “ah man sucks that this video made me believe that unless i’m dropping over $200 on shoes that i can’t be *in* with fashion trends”
1. Trekking shoes or Trail running shoes 2. Converse Everyday Shoes 3. Running/Gym Shoes 4. Full White Sneakers 5. Formal Leather Sneakers That's it. That's all you need.
Aztec Dr. Martens 1460 Stacy Adams Black Class Oxford Dress Shoes Ontisuka Tiger Bruce Lee Fear of God Essential Converse Lunar Air Force 1 Duckboots. All time greatest shoes....
This might be the most american centric fashion thing I'vd seen in a long time. 1.Chelsea boots will never be an all around boot, they are worse than sneakers in snow 2. 200$ as your standard price range is crazy, most people dont own shoes worth 200$ 3. You dont wear brown dress shoes if you dont have multiple pairs, that's extremely basic dress shoe rules 101. Black oxfords are go-to for a reason, same reason for why you don't have brogues if you only have one pair
Do you realise GQ stands for Gentlemen's Quarterly, it's a men's magazine, that's why they're discussing men's shoes. Vogue might have videos you're looking for.
