Facebook was listening to a conversation I had with Joel one night, about possibly picking up an MST v2 Intake for the A90 Toyota Supra (turbo inlet inclusive). Later that night, I had a Facebook Marketplace advertisement pop-up from a local selling this cold air intake kit for the MKV Supra.
I went ahead and picked it up for $600. It was in great condition, apart from the snapped screw left in the MAF. I ended up drilling out a hole and using a concrete screw plastic fixing.
Installation was pretty easy. Just take your time removing the C clip as well as the turbo inlet plug. Just squeeze in the right areas (see video) and it comes off pretty easily. Otherwise everything else is just fiddle and plug and play.
Overall, super happy with the sounds. It's actually been on my car for about a month since I made this video (sorry, been busy as with work) and the sound this intake makes still gives me a smile, every, single, time.
I also noticed that for everyday driving, my intake temps are way lower. With the OEM intake, I was averaging about 70 degrees (Aussie use celsius). With the MST intake, I'm averaging about 35 degrees. I'm located in Brisbane and it's October... so it's pretty damn hot here.
Final thought - The MST in-take gets a big thumbs up from me.
Thanks for popping by and checking out the video!
