I liked the original painting best and would have used a more “earthy” frame for the succulents, and saved my grandmother’s picture as a family heirloom. It is history.
Are we not gonna talk about what happened to the oil painting?! I would not dismantle my grandmother's oil painting without having another frame to put it in. I couldn't focus on anything else
Wether my grandmother painted that beautiful painting or not, I wouldn’t have the heart to rip it apart, to turn it into a decor that looks like should be sold at the Dollar Tree. What tears my heart apart, is that I’m sure her grandma was so excited to give her the beautiful painting. I wonder what her grandma would say to what she did to it😢.
This has inspired me alright. Inspired me to really think about who I leave my stuff to in the end of life. Dismantle Grandma's painting for some for filler for a craft channel. 😢
She didn't ruin the painting! She just removed it from its frame.perhaps she's handing the painting down to one of her grown children and they wanted a more modern frame.
I would of just went to Hobby Lobby to buy a frame. That oil painting and or the frame might have been worth money. Also I would have a hard time doing that to a picture and frame that once belong to my grandmother
I believe that vebtage painting and frame would bring great value if you would have priced it and sold it on e-bay I cried but your ideas are worth making w other frames imo.
Loved the 2nd one, I thought I would use more wildflower looking stems if I were making this for my home, though. Just a thought, very beautiful❣️Ty🙏 Blessing's🤗😊
Both pretty, but the first one I might just use a piece of foam cut to the size of the frame. Less trouble, since you're still going to cover it with moss and succulents... The second one, a piece of log on the edge would be nice... By the way, I like your sofa and its' color. 😉
Maybe she didn't like the painting or grandma? I think it's a great way to upcycle! It wouldn't take much to make this a Living Frame w real plants. Thanks for the idea!
Nice. But I think as Americans, we need to start thinking more about ways to conserve energy and resources. A lot of stuff shown is really things we could do without and things that end up in garage sales as junk. These materials come from somewhere and require fossil fuels in order to be transported to stores, etc. Production of many of these materials depletes natural resource such as the Amazon rainforest. I would rather see people going to thrift stores and finding things that are already in existence and finding a new way to decorate with them or use them rather than purchasing over and over again new products from retailers. Please think before you buy new products. Could you actually buy something vintage and reuse/remake it? Or, perhaps, not buy anything at all.
And the fact they are using poop noodles is just the cherry on top. Who tf actually buys pool noodles!? I just cringe every time I see them especially when being used for "garden hacks"🤦
Stop using poop noodles! Wow! I can't believe people are still using these awful things! Never would I use a pool noodle for anything. This is ridiculous and it needs to stop.
When you don't have more material to post that, you just have to ruin a great picture art frame. From the unnecessary pool noodles as a holder to the recoloring frame. I really thought you were going to make some 3d art with those pool noodles.
Dang. Everyone hates the first one. Maybe you should make another video about how you intend to do better next time. Saying it was your grandmother's without anymore context really blew up on your face. 🤦
While I appreciate your ingenuity and creativity this project looks very tacky and like you visited the dollar store. Additionally, I would never destroy a grandparents art piece.
