You buy this game and all you hear is this song constantly playing in the background of the loading screens and even when you get into the game and over the dialogue.

+EncyclopediaBro13 If you think that making a game like this only takes two minutes, then you've probably never written a single line of code. Yes those games are bad but it's not like you can expect the same level of quality from an editor like gameloft with tons of devs and from a single guy in his bedroom or working on it for a school project. Plus making a 3D open world game with IA and all isn't like making another candy crush saga look alike.
+NoxMD Ehhh, with Unity it is. That shit subverts a ton of difficulties when it comes to a three dimensional game. This shit is mostly half-assed, I'd say that's why most people use Unity to begin with, not that it can't produce good games, but more that it's mostly used to create half-assed games by half-assed programmers. And before you say I've never written a line of code before, most of the projects I work on (alone) are in C++ and OpenGL -- albeit most of my projects are in 2D. While I wouldn't expect perfect quality from a mobile game, I've yet to see one native non-port of a mobile game that is enjoyable enough to play it for more than an hour.

I have the same feeling, but I actually do remember playing 2000's games that had this kind of atmosphere. To name a few, Red Driver, Operation Darkness Strike, and I'm not even gonna cover the 3DVIA games which is a whole rabbit hole of liminal games in itself. They all share the same urban uncanny valley style. Edit: Also look up "images that feel too normal", that is the style you're probably talking about.
These kind of games are cancer, google play should make a policy that each game apps should be tested if its a valid game and should be removed if its sh1tty similar to the so called games in this video
no these are part-time projects mostly created by one or two guys at most... or someone like me who wants to earn some money via advertisement..these wont make much but still, something is better than nothing ... these games maybe look funny but they still take a lot of effort ....
