Hi Robert, thanks for the great time, we spent together! All viewers who want to solve that play issue, please be patient, I just ordered new raw material to make a lot of new Rattlekillers. However it might take some time...
Robert…Thanks for this video. I always hated the play in the throttle. Received my RattleKillers from you & did the install (very easy!). No horizontal play at all now, that took longest to get the perfect spot so that throttle snapped back properly & the rattle overall is probably 80% gone. Love it! Thanks again!
Shout out to Stefan for taking the time to invent the Rattlekillers! Thanks Rob for having him on the channel and giving us another Great RU-vidr to follow.
Hi Richard, it's my pleasure thank You very much. I would admit, I might be a small (maybe promising) You Tuber to follow... Hopefully we can do another collaboration in the future, it was so much fun to work with Robert
Was going to comment on the same thing. It’s not a big deal but definitely triggered my OCD. Should be simple to correct. Just rotate 180 degrees. Robert, keep up the great work with Preloader Nation!
Thank you. I had no idea that Stefan invented it. I remember when de did the review of the 21 CVO RG (or as Robert will say, Blaze) and he said he would immediately install Wilburs suspension and rattlekiller. I did not understand the importance of the product but know I better understand. I need a rattlekiller! Thank buoy gents; the dynamic duo in action.
Awe...you got 4 motorcycles. Poor baby. Don't cry. ILL TAKE ONE..OR TWO!!! OR THREE. Then you'll feel better. Thank me later. Hey Stephan.. how bout some of that good German stout. You could do a video on the proper technique of temperature and consumption. Also we can do German lessons at the same time. Just a thought. ♥️🇺🇸
Lt. Simmons, you are awesome and thanks for the great lessons. I was wondering, does installing the rattle killer negatively affect your bike warranty? Continued blessings!!!
I'm not a law expert, but I would guess not. If You change Your handlebars or grips and the engine or gearbox fails, that is not linked together. But if Your throttle grip sticks, it is definitely not covered by Harley warranty. It is Your responsibility, if You are changing bars and grips or if You are adding a Rattlekiller
Is this just a problem with the Kahuna grips ? I put them on my 2021 SGS and the play is horrible ! Just about ready to change to another grip ! Harley told me this common and I will get use to it !!! Negative !!!! For the money we spent on these bikes, this should NEVER be an issue. Great video, glad I’m not the only one with this issue.
Hi Brian, it's an issue with every Harley grip (aftermarket might even be worse), but due to the metal, it's more obvious with the Kahunas. I would guess, Your side play is not adjusted, that makes it even worse, for the radial play, You have the Rattlekiller-Robert should have quite some left. I am waiting for the raw material to make new ones.
Thank you for the additional info. I did try to adjust and there was no difference. The side play is very frustrating especially when on a bumpy road. I like the Kahuna grip only because the red Bar and Shield color match my billiard red paint. I may need to use your method when available. Thanks again
Hey Robert got a question how do you get the 360 shot of you and your bike I would like to do that can you tell the equipment I need thanks and keep up the great work
I love that grip part that eliminates that, BUT!! I don’t have an Instagram Account and don’t feel secure in creating an Instagram Account just to buy that, sad & unfortunate. Keep ‘em on 2! Thank you anyway!

So, the rattle killer would have to be new when you change your handle bars, correct? It's not interchangeable. I did notice that my Heritage has that excessive play. It seemed odd and I had issues with killing my bike at stops because of the "dead space" in my throttle. I changed my exhaust, air and tuner and it took the "dead space" away. However, that all cost me about $3000. The Rattle Killer is definitely the solution I was after on my throttle. I may need this for my Electra Glide Standard.

No not silly on your part because it is normal as far as Harley Davidson is concerned because it’s on all of their motorcycles. But it feels like crap.
@@stefansgarage3014 , maybe on my right throttle side, but not the left grip, lol, because my left grip was loose and could not be tighten and rolled back and forth and was very irritating. I ended up using a wide zip tie and wrapping around the two clamp points where the switch housing contacts the grip and cutting the excess. Took several tries to get the correct thickness of zip tye where it held and allowed the gap to be eliminated between the two halfs. Now it works and looks great.
Hey Robert, I have a bone to pick with you! You never mentioned that when we are slow riding, we should only do it for a limited time. I was slow riding and getting it and feeling good. I was totally stoped and not falling over. I practiced this for more than two hours, when I parked my bike for twenty minutes and then tried to start it it gave me problems. When I finally got it started, it never went over 25MPH. Somebody told me I burned out my clutch. Next time tell people not to practice "Slow riding" for more than a half hour if that! I'm pretty disappointed in you. I'm a new rider and this could have been avoided. I've seen at least 10 of your videos and none of them say:"Caution - limit the time you slow ride or you'll burn out your clutch!
The “Disclaimer” is repeated often by Robert - know your motorcycle. FYI - It’s a wet-clutch system and is cooled by the primary oil however, you will will need to ride-it-out very few minutes to allow the plates to cool. Unfortunately it’s an expensive lesson.
