@@mrzzl09 me and my wife started at 50yo, jiu jitsu is wonderful for self defence, especially for a woman but first 6 months are really really hard. It's very technical and very physically demanding . We were in great shape when we started but no amount of weights will prepare you for fighting . If you stick with it it will be so rewarding though.

*****​ her discomfort.. which was certainly naked for all to see.. she was wearing the discomfort on her sleeves.. the poor thing.. but "for me anyway".. that discomfort lent to the fascination of her performance.. I mean one minute you " think" your looking at an awkward, insecure child waif.. afraid of her own shadow.. and the next minute she metamorphosis into an extremely capable.. highly trained.. highly intentioned.. self aware confident killing machine.. lol.. I swear man I've never seen anything like it.. I havn't been I jitsu spectator.. mma yes.. boxing fan for decades.. maybe it's common for a jitsu fan who's seen the kids roll.. but to me.. the speed.. the speed of the execution.. and the expressionless patience.. the way Grace posted up inside the guard for so long..just pressing.. the patience! .. it was just surreal to me to see that level of execution from someone so seemingly immature.. I'm 52.. seeing totally new and unique events is happening less and less.. that fight was definitely something unique and outside anything iv seen before. Anyway.. I thought her discomfort and prefight awkwardness was a marketable persona..lol.."dont let her get comfortable".. lol.. she's an enigma..a contradiction in the flesh.. like a f'ing Unicorn or something.. part of my fascination is the sport.. it's so technical.. so physical. very interesting. so fair to say little Grace has made me a jitsu fan.. yes.. will be interesting to see her grow.. and ok.. yes.. to see her become comfortable.. to hold her head up.. that will be good to.. Great point. It sharpens their skills if they can figure things out on their own without a spotter(coach) yelling “look out for this and look out for that.” It would make their wins so much more legit and it would make their coaches look like super sensei’s
