@@stevehanrahan2710 Oh? Smell meaning you don't agree with what people are saying. I didn't realize we were under some obligation to agree with you!!!!
The fact that someone has died does not mean that people stop caring. I loved Grace Kelly and have enjoyed her movies and still watch many of them. She was a beautiful stylish woman and a very devout Catholic who had her priorities in order.
Not devout at all. That was her Image. She was very immoral. I'm not "judging" her that is the fact. Probably abused as a child like most "stars" were.
I know her reputation and as a young woman she did engage in affairs. However in later life she was a very good woman and a devout Catholic. She and I had a mutual friend - a Catholic priest who knew her well. I think we all should remember and meditate on the words of St. Paul - "We a fall short of the glory of God." And if we are fortunate our lapses and sins are not part of the final chapters of our lives. It is possible to sin but redemption and resurrection is part of life also. I stand 100% by what I wrote about Princess Grace earlier.
@@lindawalker2451 If she changed inside that is a good thing. I hope it's true. I heard she briefly supported an occult organization and then rescinded her support....and maybe that caused her to be killed. OTO was the organization. By the way, my mother always told me I looked like her and I loved her movies.
Hmmmm. SO no one can express an opinion on people who are dead? Does that include Hitler? Stalin? People can research and express opinions on public figures.
Pls don't say she sacrified her career! She being an adult it was entirely her decision to marry a price and paying a dowry. She definitively wanted to get married and become a princess! Both of them benefitted from this marriage. Sorry to say she was not a saint before her marriage which everyone is aware of. Well bygones are bygones. Let both of them rest in peace 🙏
Royal families hey! Just another Beautiful Lady used by an heir to the throne. Sound familiar. Another Princess dies in car accident. R.I.P. Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco.
Wasn't her daughter in the car with her that day? This isn't the same account of the accident I remember. There's much more to this story that isn't being said.
You left out the part that her husband had extramarital affairs 😢. It turns out that he married her for the money 🤑, and did not value her. People need to be careful when marrying outside of their own culture. There is so much that one does not learn until it is too late. 😥😢😥😢😥😢😥
Who can forget Prince Rainier’s lost of composure at Grace’s funeral, and the tenderness of Princess Caroline reaching over to touch her devasted father?
People seem to forget she had affairs with every leading man, married or not. She was not who the "news" tried to make her out to be. Marrying Rainier took her away from the Hollywood scandals and escalated her to a pedestal
I remember that her daughter was in the car when the accident occurred. There was some sort of distraction between the 2, influencing the accident. Maybe her role as Princess was her greatest.... Always admired. 🌹❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Wow if rainier really loved her he wouldn't have wanted a dowry and that amount..wow, he was nothing to look at...she should have stayed an actress, imagine if she had been married to cary grant ,now that would be royalty..grace was so beautiful what a waste of her beauty and talent. Rip Grace
We do not know now what really happened over 40 years ago. Hindsight is a wonderful word but was her marriage to Prince Rainer a sham? We just say she died too young What would have been Hitchcock wanted her to play MARNIE opposite Sean ❤️❤️❤️❤️🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴😭😭🙏🙏
I’ve always known that at the time of the crash and her hospital stay my mother and my British Grandmother were on the phone. It was said that Grace was sitting up in her hospital bed and she was improving, next minute they announced that she was dead!! My mother and my Grandmother were confused and shocked
Princess Grace was very outspoken in her adoptive homeland and was pushing for certain things Prince Rainier was very weak, her brother also died under mysterious circumstances
I have heard from another report that she had to give millions of dollars to marry Rainier but her father did not agree saying something like " I don't sell my girl "
Grace came from a very wealthy successful family. Her father paid the dowry. I have no idea about her personal money but in the 1950's a wife's money became her husband's money so maybe when she married, her personal money was absorbed into joint bank accounts with her husband ? it really was not until the 1970's that women were allowed to control their own money and have their own bank accounts (without their husbands or fathers co-signing ) and credit cards.
Somewhat similar ... We do not really know the details of how the driver of the Monaco car lost control - perhaps something HAD been done to the car to permit the accident...🤔 For sure, Lady Diana died from NO accident...
Thank you for listening to this post. Many videos on youtube of all sorts play background music when we are trying to listen. Even the softest can be annoying.@@classicsuntold
I was born in 1955 and I remember that Grace Kelly was in the newspapers and magazines every week. Just like Jackie Onassis Kennedy. They were American Royalties in Europe. Much admired and adored. Grace Kelly paid a low price for gaining an enormous status worldwide.
I am from Europe. The story we read in the papers stated that her youngest daughter was the driver. Apparently, Grace tried to protect her from any consequences.
@@anitamenig I know the NEWS said her daughter was driving. I don't know about YOU, but since I was in high school some 60 years ago, I haven't "BELIEVED" the news!!!! So I don't give RIP what the NEWS said.
@@gloriarangott8803 She married a man she loved who proposed marriage. She was able & willing to help him financially. That... is not selling ANYTHING.
Very few powerful men are virtuous enough to resist temptations of beautiful women around them every day. Only the 13th Century (completely heterosexual) King St Louis IX of France did resist all illicit sexual temptations.... That is one of the MANY reasons why he is recognized as a Saint.
Just said, no one knew. How can a 16s years old teenager is allowed to ride a car? Seem the royal are hiding some facts about Queen Kelly's death. Just like Diana's death
The only thing Grace Patricia Kelly gave up was an acting career that wouldn’t have lasted much longer in those days anyway. Actresses back then were finished by the time they were in their late 30s. Bette Davis and Joan Crawford and stars of that generation lost their careers as they aged and were given roles to play old hags in horror movies and has-beens. Even with Grace’s luminous beauty she would’ve been relegated to has-been roles as she aged and lost her looks. Grace was smart to turn her acting career or commodify her star text into another type of acting by becoming a princess! Royalty is acting as well. To me that was very clever because she was then able to sustain her glamour for a lifetime and gained greater social standing than had she have remained a mere “actress.” Grace’s Philadelphian family were all about social standing so it was only natural she’d do that. Grace was a rather complex character I think and in her sexual persona we see all the struggles of modern day womanhood. While not a feminist icon, to me, she remains a kind of protofeminist because she was very sexually permissive in her youth at a time when women weren’t. She was making career decisions at a time when most women didn’t. And she was navigating and negotiating her star factor with a royal court : using all her soft power and capital to elevate herself. I see these strategies as very feminist even though they may not appear so to modern day eyes. She was complex, ahead of her time, and a real powerbroker in so many ways. Don’t be fooled by her patrician looks and her elegance. Beneath all of that gentility, sheen and class, was a formidable and strong individual who became a leader in her own right.
Possibly just that he was royalty...and in those days the image of being royal made stars shine I'm young girls' eyes..little girls were fed the "happily ever after" bunk... Perhaps she was infatuated with the thought of becoming a real live princess....just like the Cinderella story....😢
I see some comments say Rainier wasn't faithful to her...how could he cheat if it is true, on such a beautiful ,generous women....why on earth did she marry him ,i don't know what she saw in him. She had men falling at her feet a true Helen of troy....sad she threw away her life on this unattractive man,who demanded money to marry her .what was she thinking.
I loved Grace Kelly I would be really pissed if I found out that she was murdered for her money and her stardom it’s making me think now from what i just heard from here 😢
In France but my parents were 40 years older than I, my father was spanish it explains why dowry was important for him, if I remember well , dowry was made from my birth to my wedding day.
@@ginawhiteley8834 A very rude, ignorant uncivilized remark.... seriously. Please read about civilized cultural history - we lost it in the USA during the Marxist war between the sexes that resulted in the legalization of abortion and homosexuality.

Rumour has it that Grace Kelly herself was unfaithful so its wrong for people to point fingers at Prince Reine. Neither are here to defend themselves so let them rest in peace ❤
Princess Grace was a fire actress and model and mother giving all of her money assets to a royal family as a token of how much she loved prince Rainner and wanted to be a good wife to him don't really think titles impressed her much she quite famous before her marriage to the prince and maybe she wanted to do some more movies or maybe take a crack at the stage performer unknown the prince and maybe even the royal family didn't MUCH care for that ! Way she died was it murder or just a terrible accident not sure ! Only one thing to be sure of that she's in heaven in the arms of the saints,! RIP!2@
I’m from that time l was still in England then and he went to Hollywood looking for a bride who could put money into Monaco she fit the image family money and l remember the wedding and the ballet performance laughed at all ver Europe and also what about the story that her younger daughter was driving that car
You are judging a 19th Century cultural situation (that still persisted before widespread anarchy dominated the scene) with a 21st Century Marxist mindset.
She could have her way around.......Not to pay dowry. hes not handsome very nordinary. Anywsy, there are more handsome and Responsible guy. Its the other way around. I Wont pay him😂.
So, what’s his big confession? We all know he wasn’t faithful during their marriage and she knew all about his flings. Prince Albert is a “chip off the old block”. She was the epitome of class! Beautiful, poised and intelligent. Grace was our princess!
@@dagmarvandoren9364 yes she did, part of the requirements to marry the prince was she needed to be examined by a doctor to see if she was a virgin. Seems someone found a doctor who would confirm she was injured riding a horse and she only looked like she had had sex! I wonder how much it cost to insure his silence!
IMO This was no love match. Grace was regarded as Hollywood royalty. He needed the "right" bride (and her fame and money) to continue the Grimaldi line. Grace (and her family) wanted the "right connection" marriage. Doesn't it all sound somewhat familiar Grace having died in a car crash. Just an observation.
Yeah looks like that but why would a person with a will as strong as Grace go along with it...what on earth did she see in Rainier especially with all the geourage men she had falling at her feet...
@@ginalowe1924 Sometimes, people, particularly women, who have had an abusive childhood, i.e., psychologically traumatic, as she and her brother "Kell" (Jack Kelly) experienced with their parents, particularly her/his father, the traumatized persons continue to create the same emotional trauma, believing that it's the definition of love and reality, in their adult lives. Grace had many affairs before her marriage -- and with each serious one, she truly fell in love with these men. Sadly, these famous actors and movie powerful insiders, only wanted her for a while, and used her...Only Oleg Cassini, who was divorced, and a thoughtful gentleman to her, wanted to marry her in serious pursuit. However, since her father and mother were Catholic, they emphatically disapproved of Cassini, and forced the relationship to end -- even though Grace Kelly was famous and successful, in her own right, by that time. With men, and even in daily life, she was not strong willed at all, but very idealistic and ethical in her dealings with others, and she had powerful dreams of a happy marriage and becoming a mother. Her strong acting ambition came from her lifelong experiences in childhood, and she and her brother's drive to be successful in this life...However, those ambitions and aspirations were the only evidence of her strong will -- besides surviving her psychologically abusive parents and succeeding in NYC and Hollywood.
Grace said that after just days of marriage she realized that her royal husband was having affairs. Yes, plural, affairs. After she gave all that money to the Prince she found the Palace was falling apart. She commented that the bathrooms were 50-60 years old. Some places were falling apart. Then when she met Diana before she married Prince Charles. Diana asked Grace something about the feeding frenzy of being royal. Grace said it doesn't get better. Doesn't sound like Grace was ecstatic about living a royal life. Gee, sounds kind of like a similar situation in royal Monaco now. currently.
These royal families are all terrible. The women who marry into them are all treated poorly and historically have just been used as breeding mares. They have no power and you can see this being repeated and repeated again and again in various royal households.
Years ago it was said that Rainier wanted a dowry of 1m$ from her father before he married her and the father paid it. Therefore, it wasn't her money as such. Very sad that she had such an ending.
No, she allowed the public to believe that her father paid the money, but her father never indulged her at all, and was actually cheap with her, controlling, demanding, and unkind, much of the time, to her...
My recollection was that her father said "NO" he would not pay it. Grace pulled her own money together (not leaving her with much) to pay the 1M. She was in love with him and wanted to marry him. The article I read said he was very attracted to her and yes it was a business deal. He needed the money to move forward. Grace herself said that she was very surprised when she realized Ranier was having multiple affairs just days after their marriage. Also, she told the magazine that she was surprised at how run down and "old" the Palace was. Not in age but that it had not been kept up and modernized. Albert is a chip off the old man's block. However, he has had to stop his wife several times from leaving the marriage & country. Charlene was not aware until just before her marriage, that Albert had a grown son and the mother thought she had access to Albert pretty much anytime she wanted. Causing problems between Albert & Charlene.
She basically paid to become a princess, and to make her kids royals. And she did not need to have money because she was spending her own money that she gave to her husband… So he did not feel like she married him for his money, he gave her royal status, the deal worked for both.
