I trained with the guy. He taught me more in 8 months, with Renzo , but mainly Craig, then twp uears at my prior academy; it was life altering.

My friend had this DVD series back in the day. He used to let me borrow it all the time. There was a lot of good stuff in there.

Craig Kukuk was in the Treasure Valley Idaho for years. I started in BJJ in the early 1990s and I was lucky to train with Craig for a short time and he was amazing! Super high-level BJJ for such a humble guy.

he started training in 1984 or earlier far as I know and got black in 1992 from royler in brazil but had done all his training in torrance with rorion

Not exactly. Trained with Royce and Rorion in the garage and briefly at the academy, but he also trained with Royler and took privates twice a week for 5 or 6 years from Rickson. Lived in Brazil twice as well.

@@mrbjj1016 his story is very interesting. I have this dvd set and I love it. Old school fundamentals. I know alot of people talk down on the BJJ From A to Z dvd set, but I greatly enjoy it.

how do i get in touch with Craig? I've been trying to find his brother in Law who's been missing for years.

From what I heard he is not into jj anymore at doesn't use social media. However sometime ago I found some interview with him on the internet from few years ago and the interviewer was able to contact him via traditional mail.

The best opponents wrap under the neck and do not use the elbow, across the head, to control.. Opponents just recompose guard. But generally Craig is amazing. There's a mistaken belief that the elbow over the head allows for attacks. It allows for escapes.
