People people, Listen up and save yourself unfounded aggravation. This sprayer uses a collapsible bag to hold the paint. All air must be removed via the vent cap and gently squeezing the bag until the air hissing sound stops. Priming on high while inverting the sprayer for a few seconds is critical. Straining the paint from old cans is recommended. Read the manual and watch this video. This sprayer is awesome when you first take the time to learn how it works and what to do if there’s a stoppage of spray.
This badboy did the job! Now I want to paint everything! I got the DSP. Easy clean up. Easy to use. This video was MEGA helpful! I paid $189 for mine at Home Depot very happy with it!
That's great news to hear... I just recently ordered the VSP for a basement project, and after watching some videos I was becoming concerned that it would be undersized for the job. So there was no issue with overheating or the gun failing to perform in one way or another? Thanks maschngon
@@letwing6994 I just used the vsp this weekend. I have sprayed about 5 gallons of paint. The thing is a work horse but it definitely gets hot and every two containers I let it rest. The problem I am having is paint is getting into the threads and drying up so when I go to refill it’s extremely hard to take off
I picked up the variable speed model and did my first project with it last weekend. The sprayer worked really well, and I am happy with its performance.
Bought my Graco TRUECOAT 360 DS, super hot here in Florida today, I finally got the sprayer to spray out the test fluid. I then filled the liner and followed the directions to the T.. I ended up thinning my latex paint even more with water. The sprayer would not spray paint no matter what I did. This is a brand new unit that I believe is going back to Lowes. Very displeased.
Once I sell more of my projects I’ll invest in one of these Graco sprayers, a buddy highly recommended these sprays and looking into them they look to be the best for my needs.
They are like 250 dollars at most for non professional models. You ain’t gonna get much cheaper without getting shitter quality. Just buy one. Amazon allowed me to do 5 payments 0 interest on my 360vsp without any sort of credit check or credit card offer. This is gonna out perform anything you use that’s cheaper.
For woodworkers I wouldn't recommend this sprayer bc you're limited to the. 15 spray tip. The home right finish max is far superior in my opinion bc it comes with a variety of tips for different materials. For walls or outdoor use this thing works great but for furniture I would pass.
Just ordered one here in mexico. Ill do a review once I get it since all the ones available on amazon mexico have reviews but the graco ones. If more people knew about this product they would buy it over the wagners or the chinese.
I have owned a 17D889 for a couple of years. It works as advertised if you follow the directions. I have not had problems with clogging - I strain any old paint that I use. I bought it to paint interior, exterior and garage doors. I also used it on outside furniture. I really like to bag system that allows you to paint in any direction. The major drawback is limited paint capacity - ie you have to refill it for big jobs. I have never used it indoors.
I cannot say enough about my Kubota B2320 front end loader! It's the perfect size for my property! The BX series would've been too small. This unit is strong enough for the attachments I want to use but still nimble enough to squirrel through the woods! Highly recommended!
TO CLEAN Wash tips and liner Fill liner with warm water Attach liner Turn to Prime Pump Shake for 10 seconds Dual switch to High Turn upside down and spray into bucket for 10 seconds Turn to Spray position Reverse tip to Unclog Turn upside down, spray trigger for 5 seconds Repeat until runs clear
I guess the newest versions are called single speed and dual speed, dual speed plus and variable speed. I'm assuming the newer DS is the "dual speed 26D281" Also comes with 4 tips and 2 screens. 2 tips and screen for paint and 2 tips and screen for stain.
These types of sprayers have several drawbacks. One of them? It is that on the outside it is made of plastic and it makes me struggle when it comes to replacing or refilling
I found this one time consuming with filling and PRIMING the priming sucks on this. Their bigger units 5x up work good but who wants to drag that out for a one room job then the cleaning.... not me... So for small jobs get a cheap harbor freight one or the cheap wagner
Stopped working on the 3rd or 4th fill-up. Made a job more difficult than it should have been; took an extra day. You'll use a lot more paint than you'll think.
They are only meant for small jobs and they have a thermal shut-off. Once it cools down, it should start again. Watch the Shop Nation review for some good info. If you are going to paint your house, a Titan or similar airless sprayer is better but a little more expensive.
@@deckmonkey1459 I have about 2000 sqft of fence. If I was to do it again or had a bigger fence to stain I would 100% get a graco airless bucket sprayer. Vsp works really well but paint drying on the threads and having to refill a lot slowed me down. Something that could of been a day job is gonna take me two days.
In your lawn. 5 gallon bucket of water is about all you need. I use one bucket for cleaning, and another for rinsing. As long as you're not using solvents, it won't hurt the grass.
I have lesson to the training video but still have not gain the confidence to start. Is there a training class I could attend in the Buffalo, New York area?
There is no Training... just Practice it on cardboard or old doors... Practice, Practice Practice... Please do not do what I have done... I have "Fliped" RVs for 30 years... I"m on my 25th RV right now... I'm tired of hand painting everything... I have a Huge Class A RV I'm working on right now... I am buying me a sprayer!!!
Yes. I am. I'm using the 360VSP It works pretty quick and the end results are way better than I expected. The bad news is that the sprayer will only last until you're sprayed 25 gallons through it before you need a rebuild kit or new tips, AND its a booger to clean. (You can usually paint a 2000sqft house with about 5 to 6 gallons of base color). You almost need to use the spray like you are spraying with canned spray paint otherwise the sprayer gets hot. Short quick bursts... It's more controlled when you spray this way. I'm using two year old unthinned latex for a one coat, and this machine is laying it down (5-6 pressure setting) with a light eggshell texture that seems to level itself out. My favorite part of painting with this is getting under the eves of the house and painting with the sprayer upside down. Gutters look good too. You do have to strain your paint if you have chunks, I've had one clog because I ran out of paper strainers. Once you clog your sprayer, you have to do a partial clean out of the sprayer. I keep a 5 gallon bucket of water for cleaning and a 5 gallon for rinsing.
Where you put the paint was made entirely of metal and the bags were made of plastic. Perhaps It would be much simpler, to replace them Or change or fill in the
I have used hundreds of the cheeper guns painting red iron structural steel and direct to metal and they all worked good aside from being hard to clean. I grabbed one of the 360 from Home Depot thinkin Graco is a great brand for around $300 and nooooope it’s never worked not once. I have tried everything. If I squeeze all the air out of the bag and hold it upside down it works kind of but it’s not continuous but rather like a machine gun of lines....lol today I got it out to mess with it after around eight months since the last time to paint some trim and I ended up brushing it....probably better of going to Harbor Freight really.....growing up my dad was a painter and they loved Graco airless’s but the 360 👎....I could have gotten a bad one who knows.
Once again... I go to my 3rd video on Graco Paint Sprayers... and You have NO links we can click on!!! How do you expect us to buy one... Help us out!!!
The DSP is dual speed (hi/lo) and has a 32 oz capacity. The VSP is variable speed (1-10) and has 42 oz capacity. I just purchased the VSP from HD and tried it out on a dresser. Since it’s my first time with it I’m mixed if it’s the right tool or if I need to get more experience with it. At the lowest setting (1) it really laid down a lot of paint. I got some runs and some missed spots. A dresser is probably not the best place to start learning. I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to sand and put on a second coat. But that’s is going to be a difficult decision because of the amount of paint it puts out. But it’s better than brush and roller which I started with. That left brush marks I didn’t like. Also it was not a very fine mist like from can spray paint. And the overspray is pretty major compared to spray paint. I put up plastic and covered the floor with a drop cloth. Since I’m painting indoors I am using Benjamin Moore Advance. It lays down very nice and the Graco VSP had no problem with it unthinned. It just put out a lot more than I expected. When I did research I was considering a HVLP vs Airless. I didn’t go HVLP because I don’t want to mess with thinning the paint which Benjamin Moore doesn’t recommend anyway. Because of Graco’s poor marketing I originally purchased the magnum project airless but when I realized how much cleanup it requires I decided to return it. Also, considering how much paint the VSP put out I made the right decision. I haven’t cleaned it yet because I’m going to use it again tomorrow. The video said you can leave paint in it if you are going to paint the next day. I hope that works out. Not sure what your project is but the VSP is pretty powerful but not very precise. Maybe you can contact Graco and ask them for help.
@@LR-uu3dm WOW.... Thank you so much for all that information... I have left comments on the GRACO's Videos and have not heard on word from them, which scares me to buy from them... I'm afraid their service will not be any better... Is it my understanding that you like the VSP? I would assume that the VSP with the 1-10 speed would be fantastic... Oh and by the way, I think they said if you're not going to clean it, to store it upside down in a bucket??? Or down in a bucket, so the tip doesn't dry out... I hope I'm right. Thank you again for all this great information... I really need to get a good sprayer.
My experience wasn't so good, I bought 1, tested at home before my project, it took a long time to spray and when it did it was like a spiral pattern, I didn't change the tip to the 12, that was the suggested solution, I needed a 4" tip. When I got to the job site, it didn't work, I removed the cup cover just to find a broken o-ring, went to exchange, new one was too lose from the cup lid that connects to the gun, it worked while squeezing the flexliner, if I stop squeezing, the air got back inside and stopped spraying. Disappointing.
Si una persona agrede físicamente o verbalmente a un policía 👮 aquí en georgia . Son encarcelados y le ponen cargos . Para que estén unos años en la cárcel 🙄
These sprayers are very limited in their usefulness. They can spray paint and stain at one setting. thats it. can't do any finish painting or spray poly like all the other sprayers in this price range. I'd gravitate toward one of the other sprayers to give you more flexibility. If graco ever comes out with more than just the two tips that come with the sprayer my opinion could drastically change but until then this product is inferior to its competition
Have the grace 360 use it 3 times with latex ,it’s a piece of crap . Paint is blotchy and not even have to brush it out . The bleed cap broke and is in such a poor position . I could go on but way bothered stay away ,trust me don’t waste your time and money on the Grace 360.
If this Video was better... They "GRACO" would have had a LINK in the description box where we could "CLICK" on it and find out the prices and where to buy it... but OH NO they never have this on their videos!!! Fire your video editor!!!
@@judichristopher4604 maybe its because Graco doesn't sell it direct. Is googling it so hard? If it so, using a paint sprayer is way beyond your ability level.....
@@judichristopher4604 nothing to do with your gender, more so that you are unable to comprehend a sentence. You also don’t understand how to google the price of something. To recap; you are too stupid for this tool and will hurt yourself.
Nothing but frustration.. large tip hit guard at all times leaving horrible spray patterns and drips EVERYWHERE. FUCKING WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY IF YOU HAVENT HAD TRAINING....
As far as I am concerned this thing is a piece of junk.. after following all the instructions for first time use, I started to use it, and it lasted a grand total of 45 seconds before it stopped spraying.. Followed the troubleshooting guide word for word to get it to unclog it and nothing.. took it apart and washed it all out, reloaded the paint and primed it....and nothing.. It made the noise, but no paint came out.. After an hour I finally gave up and switched back to rollers and brushes.. Absolutely terrible product... Don't Buy!
I went to the store this morning and bought a Graco 360 VSP . It was piece of crap right out of the box. I can't even finish one door without paint clogging up 4 to 5 time. I took it back to the store and fight to get my money back. Not a good product as I am a home owner try to do it yourself.
I purchased the DSP four days ago and painted all of the wood trims in my house. After prep, it took roughly 45 minutes. The flow was even and very easy to use. Clean up was a breeze. Old cans of paint or previously opened must be filtered. To unclog simply reverse the position of the nozzle. A few years ago I bought their whole house paint machine and it was a huge fail.
Several years ago I bought a hand held sprayer and it frequently clogged. The house recently needed touch up, so I figured that I would take a chance on buying a new one. Surely the technology has improved, I thought. Nope-- this thing clogged no matter what I did. Don't waste your money on this. Use a roller or buy a real airless-- what ever you do, don't waste your money on this piece of garbage.
